I sure miss the Berliner Bear, there are new ones in KC but the bear was like home to me. I ate there once a week. Meyerhoffs? was a good place too but for some reason with all the Westport and Plaza restaurants happening I never ate there much even when I lived in Hyde Park and Valentine neighborhoods.

I have eaten here often and while some things can get a little pricey, overall it's a great place. No where near the Bear for atmosphere or being authentic though.

back in the late 80's Lee's Summit had a nice German Restaurant in a strip mall across from Kmart.

I don't remember - it had a short-lived life - I think more from lack of demand than quality of fare - good red cabbage and pork though - I will ask my parents - i doubt they remember though.
