They are gonna be worse off next year and the division will be harder now that Fangio is in it and the Jets will surely upgrade Nicky from Mike White at QB

Man, I'm tired of hearing about Fangio.

Dude looks like a genius when he has a stellar front four. And just like everyone else when he doesn't.

To me, it's entirely obvious.

Fangio is a dinosaur that feasts on shit QBs

They have a Franchise QB. As long as they have that, they will be competitive.

Hopefully they get someone good enough to challenge Cincinnati but not good enough to scare us in the playoffs.

I think they sign Lamar. Not going to be a good idea as they should let him walk, but in reality they are better with him than without. I don't believe for a second that Cincy wins week 17 or in the Wild Card round if Baltimore starts a healthy Lamar.

The Ravens have won with Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco. If any franchise knows that you dont have to overpay for a mediocre QB, its the Ravens.

The Jets are pretty good up front. They have a chance.

They won with Dilfer because their defense was historically good. They made the change because Banks was awful.

Flacco hit lightning in a bottle at the right time and he was also mediocre. The Ravens ended up signing him to one of if not the biggest QB contracts in history at that time. So even Baltimore is capable of signing mediocre QBs.

Agreed. Also reading what some over there said is that KC plays their rookies which then pays off. The Bills do not. I think that might have to change as they stand to lose some vets and watching the KC model pay off they might do the same.

A lot of teams do not have the locker room capable of supporting this though.

Watch Bolton barking at Karlaftis pre snap. He's often telling him where to stand and what to watch for. Watch Chris Jones yell at the DL when they're in the wrong. Listen to the never ending talk coming out of Kelce. That barking, yelling, and speech giving would melt rookies in some locker rooms. With this team everyone seems to accept that it's not personal, it's growth and advice coming from players you can trust. That kind of trust allows our rookies to learn on the fly instead of wasting a full year on the practice field at a snail's pace. I assume the legendary Bart Vaghn is paying attention to personalities that fit this pressure packed learn from the core on the fly system as well.

I can't remember who said it, but a player mentioned that this kind of respect, trust, mentality, or whatever you want to call it, started back in DJ's era. When DJ spoke the whole room knew it was with purpose.

I recall hearing Mahomes mentioning DJ as a leader when PM first came into the locker room - that the culture was already there and that he is just trying to carry on that culture.

The guy does jack and shit for large portions of each of his playoff games especially the 4th quarter while his defense gives him the glory for the 2-3 prayer balls he lobs up for his all star WR core earlier in the game. Burrow does have elite accuracy and processing but that defense is why they have had that success despite their offense not being able to even put up a 30 point game yet.

Agreed, Burrow is getting the Brady treatment in terms of the QB receiving all the credit when the defense is a huge part of the team’s success. Hopefully that defense will regress at some point.

Bills are a very poor team. Cheap ownership hurts. Winning is a culture thing and Buffalo doesn't win anything. Its a loser culture.

Problem is, BUF doesn't really have a culture.

When you look at SF or PHI, for example, they have a culture. Even if you don't know Xs and Os that well, it doesn't take that long to figure out that those teams like to run the ball and their passing games work off of the success of their running attacks. For the Chiefs it's the opposite, but it's recognizable as the Chiefs offensive philosophy.

BUF doesn't have a recognizable culture, other than "let Josh do something to win it for us." Until they do, they aren't going to get to the SB.

Won’t disagree, but if a locker room lacks that then it won’t suddenly happen. Experience is also a great teacher and sitting a more talented rookie for a vet is a bad idea. KC played theirs, took their lumps along the way, and won a SB because of those early season mistakes.
