Yes, and good defense helps you to score more points than the other team. If you can hold the best offense in the league to 14, you don't need to score 40.

Why do people leave out the fact that opponent PPG is way lower than past years?

You must have missed the last two games.

BTW, the Raiders and the Packers scored more than 14 points. Neither are NFL top 5 offenses.

Of course defense matters. The question is whether it is worth putting so many resources and draft picks on one side of the ball that you neuter your generational QB.

That didn't change until Tyreek came along.

This team moves the ball at an elite level but can't capitalize in the red zone often enough, and turns it over too much.

Yeah, kinda. But they've gone through stretches like that in the past.

My point is that the ability's there. I'm not throwing in the towel because they won't have Juju Smith-Schuster or Orlando Brown in the postseason.
