It just doesn't look good on the part of management to hold certain players to different standards. It reaks of cronyism.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:20 PM

If Lynn can locate his fastball, he's a solid 3/4 type pitcher.

Problem is, his mental instability and lack of composure rear it's head far to often or it has in big situations.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:21 PM

Wonder what happens to Jay when Taveras comes up? I'd hope they'd keep Bourjos and Grichuk up, but I doubt it.

I agree with you on Wong 100%. That has jack and shit to do with bailing on Craig right now.

Marcellus 05-04-2014 08:23 PM

**** it we should just shit can Carpenter too while we are at it.

I dont give a **** as long as they bring up Taveras and he rakes.

Is that the 1st challenge we won this year?

O.city 05-04-2014 08:25 PM

The Craig and Carpenter contracts are starting to look shaky, though. I'm not writing anyone off at this point, but just striking discussion.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:26 PM

Jesus Yadi.

They need to rectify that hasty decision right now, today. His replacement is hitting .143 and Delcasco will hit .200 if you stick him in there.

Everyone on the team wasn't hitting but Wong goes down? That was total BS.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:29 PM

Wong was hitting .232, every other player we've had a 2nd base was, as of Friday I believe, hitting .092

Its like Wong banged Matheny's wife or something. It looks a bit familiar when it comes to Cards middle infielders.

No way they send Jay down. Matheny won't allow it. It will be Grichuk that goes down.

Lolololololol

Bad. News. Bears.

Marcellus 05-04-2014 08:35 PM

Mother ****ing ****ing ****. Seriously?

O.city 05-04-2014 08:35 PM

Come on Yadi, damn.

Smother the ****er. Watching Yadi this year, I almost wonder if there's some lingering knee issues from last year. Seems like he's been a little off behind the plate

O.city 05-04-2014 08:36 PM

That magic shoehorn we had up our asses last year, yeah, where'd that go?

Mi_chief_fan 05-04-2014 08:36 PM

Just nothing going right.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:37 PM

Hamas was right, this team is looking alot like that 07 team.

I would rather it happen now than in October. I hope this is just an early rut.

George Liquor 05-04-2014 08:40 PM

God, good AB Holliday.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:40 PM

Ew

O.city 05-04-2014 08:41 PM

Double Ew.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:43 PM

3,4,5 really hit the hell out of that guy.

Pasta Little Brioni 05-04-2014 08:45 PM

You guys would be funny to listen to as Royal fans ROFL

George Liquor 05-04-2014 08:47 PM

Heart of our line up ladies and gentlemen.

I've had better swings playing softball completely hammered than Holliday had on strike 3.

George Liquor 05-04-2014 08:49 PM

Seigrist is throwing smoke though.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:49 PM

So we just double switched and moved the pitchers spot into the 5 hole, behind Adams.

O.city 05-04-2014 08:54 PM

Carved up

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-04-2014 08:59 PM

Team needs a power bat so ****ing bad.

O.city 05-04-2014 09:03 PM

Missed that cement mixer

Pasta Little Brioni 05-04-2014 09:04 PM

O city could hit .036 on the road

I've got power oozing out of every inch

O.city 05-04-2014 09:06 PM

You want to see Bourjos get ab's, but damn, show something kid.

Pasta Little Brioni 05-04-2014 09:09 PM

That will do

George Liquor 05-04-2014 09:09 PM

Yadi!!!!!!

And my beat the streak stands at 1

O.city 05-04-2014 09:10 PM

Finally something good for this team. We need about an 8 game win streak

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-04-2014 09:10 PM

Godier Molina

I want to be patient, but he's headed for my turd list.

Marcellus 05-04-2014 09:12 PM

****ing Christ it takes Molina in the 2 hole to do something.

I have to give some credit to Matheny for making that move even if he did walk ass backwards into it.

O.city 05-04-2014 09:15 PM

Way to see some pitches there Matt

O.city 05-04-2014 09:19 PM

Damn near killed Angel there

Marcellus 05-04-2014 09:20 PM

I like Kruk.

LiL stumppy 05-04-2014 09:22 PM

O.city 05-04-2014 09:23 PM

Heh

George Liquor 05-04-2014 09:25 PM

Can't wait to get to ATL... Wait, not really..

O.city 05-04-2014 09:25 PM

We need to go kick the shit out of Atlanta and get this thing going

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-04-2014 09:32 PM

There is no way there is not something going on with his knees. He has missed several balls this year because he didn't drop down on a knee or push off with the left knee to go get balls outside. He's keeping the pain on the down low.

We need to start planning on a post Yadi era. Thats pretty damn hard reality. He's got 2-3 years left on those knees. Maybe less.:deevee:

There is no post-Yadi reality. If sabermetricians knew how to properly value handling a pitching staff and pitch framing, he's probably a 10 WAR player.

There is no way we have another "Yadi" ready in 2-3 years or less. But we need to get another MLB caliber catcher ready to take over. It ain't cruz. And you can see that age is catching up to his knees. No one can beat age, not even the best catcher of his generation.

What he does with the pitchers, the calls, the leadership..........no one has found a way to calculate the value but we all know its invaluable. He may manage the Cardinals some day

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-04-2014 11:59 PM

I have no doubt his real estate acumen is superior to Matheny's as well.

BigRedChief 05-05-2014 05:53 PM

Hey Simply Red.

Whats up your Braves hitters lately? They been watching the Cardinals hit?:)

They suck, we're the Chiefs of the MLB. It's been that way for a while now. Our hitters should pull it together, hopefully. We shall see.

I think the pitchers on both sides are going to have field days with both clubs hitters.

BTW, what's up with no fans in the stands?

Everybody is out eating Mexican :)

That and it being Monday.

BigRedChief 05-05-2014 06:26 PM

Jay is out there in CF. It's 1-0 and another runner in scoring position. Bourgas just saved a run.

Simply Red 05-05-2014 06:42 PM

just awful.

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-05-2014 08:23 PM

Horton is actually intimating that the Cardinals should put the winning run on base.

And that appears that is exactly what Matheny told Rosenthal to do.

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-05-2014 08:27 PM

Rosenhausen survives another one. It's just a matter of time before he completely implodes.

Simply Red 05-05-2014 08:29 PM

God Dammit. What a turd by the Braves.

So Bourjas goes 2-3. His speed caused an error that prolonged an inning that we scored 2 runs. Ran 3-4 balls down in the gap. And of course that gets you put on the bench for Jay. All ****ing Jay can do in ground into double plays. :#

And Delcasco gets the start at 2B. He will never hit above .240. Why does he get a start? Wong is hitting .348 down in AAA?

We need offense and we let these 2 start when we have better options. Pisses me off.

Simply Red 05-06-2014 06:01 PM

loser Uggla

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-06-2014 06:21 PM

I think both teams are better batters than they've displayed since around spring break time.

But both best figure out how to score again - mostly the Braves.

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-06-2014 08:10 PM

And any manager who takes his #3 hitter out of a tie game in the bottom of the 8th should be fired on the spot.
