Why didn't you tell me it was on?

So I was told that the "debris" that prompted NASCAR to throw the caution last week was a water bottle. Can anyone confirm this?

Dylan 05-05-2012 01:27 PM

There you are!!!!

I think you're right ...

Bugeater 05-05-2012 01:33 PM

Okay then, was this some type of new-fangled square or triangle shaped water bottle? Because I'm fairly certain a round one would simply roll to the bottom of the track where it would do no harm.

I thought when Wheldon got killed last year in the Indy cars they showed the replay several times before it was announced he had passed. Guess I don't see what the difference is.

Dylan 05-05-2012 04:28 PM

Seems McClure never slowed - I'm not sure who pushed him out of line

Drivers involved in accident, McClure, Danica, Jeff Earnhardt, Keselowski, Harvick, + three other drivers ...

Pack racing is great but sometimes this is the result.

McClure airlifted to UAB Medical Center for further treatment.

NASCAR does things differently than Indy.

Nascar controls the TV broadcast?

Pro tip: The same company that aired the Wheldon race is airing this race.

Dylan 05-05-2012 04:32 PM

You never want to be leading on the last lap. 2nd is the best position.

Congrats to Logano - great slingshot

Dylan 05-05-2012 04:36 PM

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Danica was not happy with freakin' Hornish after being put in wall. Gave him a little payback - hooked him into the wall! LMAO

Talladega: On the cool down lap Danica Patrick ran Sam Hornish into the outside wall.
Hornish had it coming! Thank you for not letting the boys push you around.

Thoughts and prayers for Eric McClure

It's been a long time that a driver in NASCAR had to be immediately put on a stretcher and airlifted to the hospital.

Dylan 05-05-2012 11:44 PM

Bug, I almost missed it. Eli in drag - Miss Chicken Fried Steak. This made the night. The writing in some of these skits was awful. Big Brother and Banana Dick was funny.

Ralph Vacchiano ‏ @TheBlueScreen (New York Daily News)
The "Little Brother" skit was hilarious, but I'm going to have nightmares about that picture of Eli and that banana. #NYG

According to the latest reports, McClure was awake and talking - There is not much you can read into his injury.

Watching the replay of this accident makes me wonder if Eric's throttle didn't get stuck wide open. Unlike all the other cars which seemed to slow down their speed.

McClure's family operated the Morgan-McClure Motorsports team for many years in the Sprint Cup Series:

Bass Pro Shops must be one of their sponsors.

Martin Truex, Jr's family owns Bass Pro Shops.
