To be fair, Bradley really is a world-class possession midfielder. Any team that lost "their" Michael Bradley would need some time to adjust.

helluva goal by Panama to tie it up

MMXcalibur 09-10-2013 08:17 PM

Eat shit, Mexico.
Go Panama.

EDIT: And I know that Panama needs to lose/draw for the USA to clinch, but really...the US is in. I'd rather screw Mexico over.

sure, we just looked particularly shitty the first 25 minutes...guys looked like they were trying to kick a motorized ham

i really like diskerud, he has a lot of confidence on the ball but understand why they played dreadlocks

Agreed.

Pretty much everyone played really well tonight. I thought Dempsey was erratic but he did set up that 2nd goal.

Speaking of... If any of you come across any tickets for a fair non-rapey price, let me know. I tried getting seats, but it seems dealers bought up a lot of seats, now everything is rapey. If I can't find a decent deal, I may have to take it in the shorts.

Demonpenz 09-10-2013 10:21 PM

usa usa usa.

Saul Good 09-11-2013 10:10 AM

Anyone know of any good sports bars in Mexico where their national team can watch the world cup?

I'm coming into town for this.

USA soccer had like 6 separate pre-sales. i got in on the 4th. On the 5th presale, there were only single seats left - and by the time it was public sale, sold-out.

I got 20 rows up in the corner-kick area....and consider myself lucky I even got them.

I literally got the presale code from US Soccer a half-hour AFTER they started the pre-sale for that day.

Oh well....I'll be there....that's the important thing!

Yeah.....can a whole country be on suicide-watch?? :D

Eleazar 09-11-2013 10:57 AM

They're going to pay us back by sending their entire lower class to the US to live off us.

SPATCH 09-11-2013 11:04 AM

So crazy, man. WC2002 sucked me in. Watching everything unfold since then has been nuts.

MLS, USMNT... it's actually happening.

|Zach| 09-16-2013 11:32 PM

This is completely late but was in Columbus for USA\Mexico and had a total blast.

Frankie Hejduk didn't seem to have a bad time either.

lol.

Reaper16 09-17-2013 07:19 PM

This CCL game agaist Real Esteli, at home, has been peak-level frustrating as far as SKC's play goes. All possession, nothing to show for it.

JoeyChuckles 09-21-2013 02:27 PM

Good start to the afternoon game. Sapong a goal in the 19th minute.

Demonpenz 09-21-2013 02:45 PM

looking good SportingKC Manchester United vs...City tomorrow.

AussieChiefsFan 09-21-2013 10:03 PM

SKC tied for 1st place again.

|Zach| 09-25-2013 07:09 PM

Supporters Shield race is really tight. We are in a nice position. The Seattle v NYRB is going to be a good one.

Demonpenz 09-25-2013 09:42 PM

I am pretty excited for an in form Sapong. He is a beast every once in awhile.

Demonpenz 09-27-2013 10:46 PM

SportingKC with the let down. Still a good team. Need finishers.

Reaper16 09-27-2013 10:49 PM

Robb's tweet about how players need to knock it off with the "we weren't good enough" tweets is spot-on. No excuses. None.

Demonpenz 09-27-2013 10:57 PM

I actually thought Skc did a good job through the middle. I hate it that they are the same damn team they have always been though. No finishers. Move the ball up the sidelines throw it in wildly. Same ole shit.....Pretty much 90's chiefs swing pass 3rd and 13...

memyselfI 09-28-2013 06:55 AM

Pathetic performance at home. I've been worried about this team since the beginning of the season when I thought they did not look cohesive. I worried that they would consistently be able to put together a solid performance. Well, they haven't been. Nielsen had a nice game (except when he was almost poached again) but aside from him NO ASPECT OF OUR GAME IS CLICKING ON ALL CYLINDERS. Not one.

This late in the season with two championships on the line it is shocking how discombobulated we look on the field. Not sure why the best defender in the league and a USMNT starter is on the bench. Not sure why our DP is on the bench. Not sure why Saad was on the bench. WTH was that starting lineup? If we don't close strong or make a serious run in the playoffs and CONCACAF then someone's head needs to roll over losing our second leading scorer in a playoff run. Would be fine with me if it was Vermes'.

SPATCH 09-28-2013 08:31 AM

Not even trippin.

Next game.

Reaper16 09-28-2013 10:06 AM

What keeps me somewhat positive is to take a look back to last year's playoffs. Being seeded higher offered no advantage whatsoever.

All SKC has to do is to make it in. They won't be disadvantaged by being a 3 or 4 seed or whatever. Once they're in, either they play well or they don't. Both outcomes for the 2013 SKC squad seem likely.

Demonpenz 09-28-2013 09:35 PM

I think that keeper for the Union played off the chain yesterday as well. SKC moves the ball well, but doesn't finish well. Maybe they get some luck in the playoffs...who knows. At this point I would like Dwyer and Saad to start and of course Besler in the back. Still a very good team in the MLS.

zigbazah 09-28-2013 10:27 PM

Jacob Peterson is horrible. He touched the ball 11 times and completed 3 passes. No shots on goal. He's never seen a game in his life that his presence has effected. No reason he should start over Saad.

CJ is also horrible. He can't do anything useful against teams that don't suck. His botched finish in the 2nd half was shocking. Free shot in the six yard box, and he sailed it over 10 feet. If any of you have played soccer, you'll know that leaning your weight back on a volley is a big no-no. I don't understand how a professional forward can have such bad mechanics.

You'd think a Uri-Feilhaber-Zusi midfield would be able to break down teams, but this hasn't been the case all season. At this point, I don't know what the answers are.

Demonpenz 09-28-2013 10:30 PM

I am not a CJ fan at all, but he is athletic as ****. Glad Nielson is playing better.

Left footed left winger daydream entire epochs away about chances like that.

Gimme, gimme, he don't see me, he don't see me, I'm making the run. AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

That's the 'dropping ****ing loads,' the 'throwing ropes across her nose' of a LWer's daydreams.

Jimmy was/is huge as in he looks like a weekend Stoll Park pick up game player. He barely moved on the goal scored. NE would have been happy to get to PKs against him. He is a liability and the defense's weakest link.

Don't get me wrong I like the guy as far as his public persona but you switch goalies in that game and Jimmy gives up at least 7 goals on the shots Matt Reis faced. Reis likely falls asleep facing only single digit shots.

How many goalies in MLS would you not trade straight up for? Of the four goalies left he is far and away the least of them.

SPATCH 11-08-2013 08:11 PM

It'd be pretty neat to actually beat Houston in the playoffs this year
