Schefter saying the Chiefs are the front runners is pretty big...
but I refuse to get my hopes up. This is one of those moves that would literally piss everybody off outside of Chiefs fans, so it almost feels to good to be true. |

He needs to just go ahead and sign somewhere so i can stop thinking about it and stop refreshing this ****in' thread. Im not sure i have it in me for another one of these ordeals. |
Quote:
So yes, I agree with you. |

We've never really been in a realistic position to get one of these elite future HOF WRs. Tyreek doesn't count because we drafted him, and no one thought he'd become what he eventually became. And the odds aren't really in our favor with Dhop either. So I'm not really hopeful. Though if someone merges the threads . . . |
IIRC, Hopkins' career earnings to date is 111 mil.
Sign the ****ing two year deal and get a couple of rings with Mahomes slinging it to you. |

Sign dhop and let’s get it done |
This is great.
Either we get him or we make the Bills severely overpay for him. Win win all around. |

This is going to be so freaking epic.
Sorry for the language. I’m excited and haven’t slept well. Hard to sleep comfortably in my car with people wheeling out TVs constantly. |

I think we all agree that the Chiefs make the most sense in a race against the Bills (they have Diggs and added Kincaid), Browns (still a very uneven situation with Watson), and Patriots (Bill...O'Brien). Hopkins comes in here and he's a clear WR1 with the best QB in the game. It's an obvious pairing that benefits both sides if the money is right. I have no idea whether it happens or not, but it absolutely makes the most sense. |

Either way, not getting my hopes up, hence why I didn't care enough to listen. |
Quote:
That's a straight Mahomo con job. Pretty sure if the Chiefs were being reported as leaders it would be a tweet from his account rather than his trying to fill space on his podcast. |
Quote:
This really isn't anything new either. Albert Breer was saying he thought the Chiefs would end up with Hopkins going back to the draft. A lot of people think the Chiefs are front runners, opinion or not. |
Quote:
How's their restrooms? |
When Schefty says something, usually he's got a source.
Breer, idk. He's been wrong plenty this season already. Almost ready to put him in the "league circles' file. |

We have no cap. None. Zippo for this year. |

You saw the video in the locker room after the Super Bowl when they dapped each other up, and then looked each other in the eyes and said they weren’t done. You could tell they meant that shit too. I have no doubt that they, Veach, Andy and Clark can come together and work something out if we decide we want to sign DeHop. |

Not trying to be a dick, but i really don't understand the second part of that, where people are concerned about CJ's deal getting restructured. i mean, it was going to happen anyway, right? Veach knew 100% that he was redoing CJ's deal before there was any news about DHop, so I don't get why anyone's concerned about that part of it. |
A couple years of Hopkins while the young receivers mature makes a lot of sense and would keep the train a rollin’.
He’s made it clear that he wants to play in KC, so just take a reasonable deal and let’s go. |

Why hasn't Kansas City hired Deandre to play WR yet????!,

**** UPDATE **** I just got home from dinner with the next door neighbor and his wife. I asked him what was cooking in the DeHop situation. Here’s what he said … DeHop DID come into KC on Saturday as planned. He just finalized a deal with his new agent Kelton Crenshaw over the weekend. DeHop stayed with Justin Reid over the weekend. They were told to stay under the radar. A friend visiting a friend at that point … nothing illegal about that. But he’s in Kansas City. Playing cautious … The Chiefs decided to wait until today to formally begin negotiations AFTER the league OFFICIALLY announced that DeHop had been released and was free to sign with any team immediately. DeHop passed his Chiefs physical late today. Kelton Crenshaw flew into KC this afternoon. What happens from here is anybody’s guess. According to my source the Chiefs are still ALL In on signing the man. They are also finalizing not one … but TWO contract renegotiations to free up cap space. My guy is pretty sure the renegotiated contracts will be announced first … and if we reach an agreement with DeHop … it will come last. And the NFL will cry huge tears ... and the Chiefs will win SB 58. He also said that if an agreement isn’t reached … by flying under the radar the Chiefs don’t lose face in the eyes of the NFL and their fans. He also said that two local news media sources have actual footage of DeHop in Kansas City … but have been asked to hold the story until details develop. My source better be right because I would hate making a fool out of myself on here … and I will NEVER quote him again in this forum. But I’ve known this guy for years … his status is irrefutable … and I’m going with the flow by posting this. Please don’t shoot the messenger. I'm just reporting what a trusted friend told me tonight. ****er better be RIGHT! |

We've got SmithAndrew camped out over at the Best Buy so we'll know soon enough if Bill is legit

I wonder why they need to keep it hush hush. Iirc he was given the go ahead from Arizona to negotiate a deal with other teams before he’s cut. |

Was at the Costco at 152 h/w and Platte Purchase Dr. at about 7:45 pm. I was at the fresh meat department picking out some smoking meats. started down the aisle and look up and low and behold Eric Stonestreet is walk right toward me with his Fiance. They had no cart and looked to be one of those meals premade to microwave in Eric's hand. As he was getting closer I spoke hey Eric we signing Dhop? He nodded winked and gave a thumbs up as he passed.
Yeah part of this story isn't true! I didn't ask him about Dhop. I only said hello Mr Stonestreet and he smiled and said hello and that was the end of it. I think he was a little afraid I was going to ask for a selfie or something. His voice is a dead giveaway. I wondered what in the world he was doing in the Northland Cosco. When I looked up The Big Slick I saw it was next week. I also looked up if he is married. I saw that he was engaged and saw the photo of the same woman he was with in Costco. Eric was sporting some Dad jeans a button up untucked shirt ballcap and an impressive beer belly. https://images.hellomagazine.com/hor...-lindsay-z.jpg |

It's becoming clear to me now that Varmint Beak doesn't care about the KC Chiefs!!!

Just off the top of my head, he'd be the 7th WR, right? I changed my mind about how many WRs we'd carry to 7, after they announced the untimely death of the FB position. Pretty sure adding Hopkins would make Watson or James WR7. |

No **** !:LOL::LOL: I'm REALLY going out on a limb posting this stuff ... But my guy is way up on the food chain at One Arrowhead Drive ... and he's been my neighbor and friend for almost 11 years. If I can't belive him ... then I'm screwed. I'm standing behind my story ! If I get ****ed ... then my neighbor will NEVER borrow my weed eater again! And I will be sweeping up the Best Buy parking lot until further notice! |

He also gave me the inside "skinny" on the Eric Bieniemy situation and the crap going on behind the scenes. I reported that in Clay's (now famous) column and got my butt handed to me ... but he was right. Clay was also ... it just got covered up. In reality ... If Sean Mcvay had left the Rams that year for the broadcast booth ... a backroom deal was already in place to name Eric Bieniemy the head coach of the LA Rams. And the Chiefs would have had some nice draft picks. McVay game back and everything went sideways. The Chiefs were stuck with him for another year. Insider tip ... It WASN'T Eric Bieniemy"s idea to leave for the Washington Commander's Offensive Coordinators job ... that's ALL I will say for now. |

[QUOTE=TwistedChief;16961609]
Oh, ****. Not sure if you remember the last time DJBILL showed up, but he said one of our most talented skill players had semi-demanded a trade. And I told him that he was a deranged lunatic. And then 6 weeks later we traded Tyreek to the Dolphins. I have no idea if he’s for real or not, but let’s treat him as the messiah and will DHop into existence. Earlier in this thread you acknowledged that I provided accurate information is this forum before. Now ... you seem to want to doubt me once again. Why don’t we give this a few days before you get your panties in a TWIST Chief? I come in peace o:-) |
Quote:
I just think you're toying with people's fragile emotions here regarding our WR room and that's not cool. A lot of people have a lot invested in Justyn Ross or even John Ross and now you're telling us that DHop is in KC sleeping over at Justin Reid's house passing physicals late in the day while the organization is putting the kibosh on KCTV5's ability to broadcast footage of him? It's almost too much to bear... |
Quote:
I TOTALLY understand your thinking TC. I am just repeating what my Chiefs employee buddy shared with me. I also realize that my ass ... and my credibility are on the line here. I'm the one who has to eat the **** sandwich if all this doesn't happen in the next few days. The loud sigh of relief you will hear from South Kansas City will be ME if all this goes down the way he told me. Yea ... I personally want DeHop too ... but a hundred things could go wrong with the negotiations that the public will never hear about ... and he'll sign somewhere else ... and I'll look like a complete ass. Trust me brother ... I'm sweating this one out too. But I've always lived on the edge so why change now? We all wanted to hear some fresh DeHop news and I had a source who trusted me with it. I decided to share it here. That's it ... I'm NOT looking for a Pulitzer Prize. But there's absolutely NO fan fiction being spun here. I'm too old for games ... I love the Chiefs just like you and everyone else on here ... I BLEED Red and Gold ... and I wouldn't do that to them ... Or to you brother. |
