It was a lot of fun watching these two. You have to feel for Lundqvist - what a playoff run he had.

True. Lundqvist carried NY and it was sad to see him lose. On the other hand, I've followed the Kings for years and am glad they won. I'm surprised hockey hasn't caught on more in this country. It's a great game.

I felt awful for him, he gave them chance after chance in those road games and his offense left him high and dry.

I didn't get to go, so watched it at home, but not live as I had a grad party. Fortunately nobody at the party is into sports, so no ruined surprises.

Probably had 4 heart attacks and 3 TIAs, but woke up this morning.

It's great to be on top again. So proud of those guys.

Champions again!

Now if only the other teams I root for could learn to win when it matters like the Kings :banghead:

Depends on the team, honestly. Canucks and Devils fans have booed him far worse than any other fanbase. In contrast, Panthers and Lightning fans didn't boo him at all in '96 or '04.

Still basking in the glory of it all, here's the clip of the winning goal as called by Bob Miller and Jim Fox, long time Kings broadcasters:

And on radio from Nick Nickson, who's been Kings PBP man on radio for years...

Football fans might think it's a bit homerish, but I do enjoy having home-town announcers for sporting events sometimes. It's fun to hear guys who are genuinely excited about the outcome.

Congrats on the win, man. Color me jealous.

You've got an up and coming team that will be challenging for years to come, as does Anaheim and Chicago (not up and coming, just coming). It was awesome to watch the parade today. Here was the highlight of the rally, courtesy of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti (A.K.A. Phil Dunphy from Modern Family):

With Laviolette in Nashville, I am ready for the new season now. Hope they can get a proven scorer, and maybe a project type scorer.
