Yeah. Didn't hit my driver that well, though. I only hit 2 fairways. I missed three more by about 2 yards, but hit another two off the Earf'.

Hit out of this watery gorse on 1 and made phenomenal contact with the ball. That's when I was pretty sure I was swinging well for the day.

It's easier on a lot of shafts than others. My Fubuki in my FT-9 is legit b/c it's a 63 gram shaft with the all gray paint. The 60 gram shafts with the reddish font are the "seconds".

Yeah I had read that before but it was in relation to one of their drivers that wasn't one of their pro models. I may just call them and ask.

I am usually pretty pleased to score well when my driver is off. Usually fall back on my 3-wood on an under 400 yd par 4 when that happens.

Sounds like your iron game was on if you hit that few of fairways.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I assume I'd have to pay shipping both ways, so i wonder if that really would be cheaper.

I'm going to go check out drivers at Golf Galaxy tomorrow, and see if anything grabs me. They're having a trade-in special that, if I understand it correctly, wil give me $115 trade in value for my old original R7 Quad that i have laying around. I want to check out the Ping G15 and TM Superfast TP at a minimum, and see if anything else looks tempting.

I have league on Monday, which is a bummer. Would suck to play without a driver...

For the most part:

These are the clubs I hit into each green:

8
baby 8
8
3 wood (230 yard par 3 uphill) (missed green)
flip sand wedge
4 iron (195 yard par 4)
flip sand wedge (par 5, drove it way right)
5 iron (terrible drive, missed green)
wedge

Hit Golf Galaxy this morning, and pounded the TM Superfast TP, Ping G15, and Ping I15. The I15 didn't work for me for some reason, but I was hitting both the SFTP and G15 pretty well. The G15 looked and felt a little nicer, but had a tendency to get a little snappy, and I'd hit a big hook left of left. I think this had to do with the shaft, and the slight draw bias of the setup. The SFTP sat slightly open, and seemed to prevent the big hook a little better, and I tended to hit it pretty straight, and it was quite forgiving - nice shaft on that club (Matrix Ozik HD6). Was fighing a bad back due to pulling sod yesterday, so I think that played a factor a bit on my session today, unfortunately.

Ended up going with the TM Superfast TP, for mostly financial reasons (all things being equal, I'm a big fan of Ping drivers). I got $106 in trade-in for my ancient dinged-up original R7 Quad (only good for a new TM purchase), which was awesome. There was also a $50 gift card special for TM drivers, bringing the price down to ~$150. Throw in a couple gift cards, and I didn't spend any money out of pocket - hard to beat that. If it doesn't work out, I should be able to sell it on ebay for more than I paid for it, which is nice.

Playing it tomorrow, so will be interesting to see how it plays...

Shot a 92 today. I was so close is so many spotsto getting that down to 87-88

The i15 would be a hard driver for a lot of people to hit because it has a cut face and the stock AXIV shaft is pretty boardy.

I was able to hit the SF TP well, and that face also sits open, so it must have been the shaft...

Daly's -7 through 16.

Name his 36 hole score.

145?

What's up with the tv coverage? Supposed to be live on ESPN, but I'm seeing Sportscenter...

Found it on ESPN2, which differs from my guide data, as well as all adds for the Open, and comments during Open highlights on Sportscenter. Weird.

Anybody know a quick fix to stop hitting my short irons fat? I don't know what the deal is. I launch my driver and basically anything teed up, but I keep hitting my short irons and wedges extremely fat.

Where is the ball positioned in your stance?

Middle, towards front foot, or towards back foot?
