Oh well, I'm rooting for a better draft pick anyway [the catchphrase for "my team is a loser"]

I want to see some 'progress' from Kila and Gordon....we pretty much know what the rest of this roster is right now

In case you were wondering or had forgotten: It was a crisp 60* at game time on Oct 19th as the 1985 WS opened:

*Yea, I got my DVD's in the mail. Thank you MLB.

KC would be a major buzz if the royals ever get in a race again for a division or pennant

Sure-Oz 08-11-2010 07:52 PM

The last real year i had fun was 1994, contending for the wildcard

**** you strike

Arguelles may need surgery, awesome

Oh yeah, and I forgot. Screw you, Mark Davis. You crapped the pants and put the fear of God into the Royals free agent mindset. Screw you Hideo Nomo for trying to make a comeback with us, and screw you, Herk Robinson for choosing Mike Weenie over Carlos Beltran.

Only 4 teams with a worse record than KC right now.

Buck got me hooked on Sporcle.com and I found an interesting quiz that proved to me how absolutely horrible the Royals have been. It's a quiz that asks you for the Royals' Opening Day lineup (including pitcher) over the past 20 years. It allows 14 minutes.

I only got 127 of them correct. And I was horrified at some of the names I saw. So take it if you feel like it and post your results.

Why can't they meet my minimum ****ing requirements of staying out of last place and not being a ****ing laughing stock.

Pretty cool. I got 168. I wouldn't be surprised if someone here did better. Should've taken it when I was more awake. Nothing crazy, but a couple real obvious ones I missed. I did get every single opening day starter though, I don't know whether to be impressed or mortified by that.

It's not your fault that you can't look away from a good train wreck.

Some of those lineups are just flat-out embarrassing to even look at.
