LOL! Can't do it on my phone, someone please post a link to the article titled Charting the Fouls. It's on the front page of kansascity.com right now. Hilarity should ensue.

I'm learning a lot from the Beakers these days.

LMAO

Don't be so hurt, man. Your defense is ranked #60 in the country per Kenpom. I wasn't trying to talk shit when I brought that fact up a few days ago, I was simply trying to explain to ezbait how you guys got manhandled by K-State while we took care of business, that's all.

I figured since the entire internet didn't explode this morning it hadn't been posted yet. If anything was validated its obviously how lazy Mizzou is on D.

They're quick and a great shooting team but lack size and their defense suffers from old Roy wont too.

Foul differential home vs away

MU +7.14
KU +7.29

KU still has a bigger home court advantage this season.

Texas has the biggest home court advantage at +8.64.

All of this is pretty meaningless without knowing how many foul worthy plays these teams make at home. If K-State is committing 45 foul worthy plays at home and getting called for 19, then that is a bigger advantage than a school that is committing 25 and getting called for 15.

I don’t think I have ever watched a game where quite a few calls were not missed. Much like if we follow the letter of the rules there would be a holding call on virtually every play in football. I’m just messing with those that think KU is winning games due to some officiating conspiracy. I do find the Foul differential interesting on the home vs. road posed by Beer Bacon. Likewisey one would think due to the difference in preference for inside vs. outside scoring that KU would have been fouled substantially more often than MU over the course of the season but, I don’t care enough to take the time to add them up.

Beaker fans lining up their excuses already

Mizzou draws a lot of charges, so it might be pretty close. I would guess that Kansas draws more fouls on offense, but Mizzou closes the gap by drawing fouls on defense.

Oh, cool. Another thing I just learned from that thread is that the ku/MU rivalry isn't actually a rivalry. Interesting.

Tickets for the last game at AFH against a non-rival start at $600.

KU is such a dominant power that they have no earthly rivals. They merely come down from the mountaintop to indulge mere mortals by playing them. KU's rivals are the gods of basketball themselves.

But KU does not care. Since Mizzou is the obsessed team, it will be interesting to see if more KU fans don't sell off their tickets for profit....after all, this game means nothing to them.

It's a school rivalry for sure. As far as sports go, basketball is about the opposite of a rivalry, while football is the definition of one.
