From what I've heard, Robinson and Kila are the same player.

You never know until you see them play in the majors.

I guess, but I've seen this movie enough times that I have a pretty good idea of how its going to end.

Realistically the purpose of a Clint Robinson callup would be for trade value, unless you're going to move Butler. And I think Butler is a special hitter and it would be a mistake to do that. They're just keeping first base warm for Hosmer.

That I agree with...if Kila's not helping his trade value than we should find someone we can get something for. Because hopefully soon both those spots will be locked up for years to come.

Can we officially change his name to Kila Kenha'arvey?

I remember Denny Matthews call of Ken Harvey getting caught in the right field tarp

Popped up right field and Harvey falls in the tarp, oh man.....all I heard was the crack of the bat, the crowd going oOoooOOO and then a Nom Nom Nom Nom sound from the tarp

I had such hope for Kila too.

One minor buzzkilling cautionary note: Gordon's BABIP is .434

Guess the Royals were right all along about the guy.....remember how much heat they would take for not calling him up.

Hosmer hitting an embarrassingly paltry .415 in AAA. This dude is clearly going to suck.

Louis Coleman up, Texeira down

http://www.rotoworld.com/

Kanekoa Texeira - R - Royals

Royals optioned RHP Kanekoa Texeira to Triple-A Omaha
.
Texeira was cleared to make room for Louis Coleman on the active roster. The 25-year-old right-hander had a superficially impressive 2.84 ERA over his first six appearances this season, but also gave up 13 hits and two walks while striking out none.

Louis Coleman - S - Royals

Royals purchased the contract of RHP Louis Coleman from Triple-A Omaha.

Yet another intriguing young arm has joined the Royals' bullpen. Coleman, 25, has a 2.16 ERA over 62 relief appearances in the minor leagues, averaging 10.5 K/9 and 2.5 BB/9. He profiles as a future set-up man.
