I didn't read the books because I didn't wanna spoil anything for myself, regardless of how different the two are. I'll probably go back and read the books once the series finale airs.

We've all watched two seasons and it still seems like there's so far to go with this story. Season 3 already has 16 episodes scheduled.

I wonder how long Kirkman and AMC can keep this thing going?

I have no idea. As long as it stays good and they don't have to recast any major characters, I'm happy if it goes a long time. However with TV, actors are gonna eventually move on to other stuff and I'm not a fan of recasts so I'd imagine if they keep it going, eventually the quality will go down. Happens to the best of them.

I know that the guy that played Shane already got a gig on some new TV show. The information actually leaked that Shane got the gig before he had been killed off in the Walking Dead series, which basically gave away the fact that he would be dying.

What I'm worried about is the show going on to a point where they're just grasping for ratings and there's nothing left to accomplish.

I think the idea of releasing a new season each fall is a good idea. It keeps people in suspense and it doesn't over-saturate the show. They give you just enough that you want more, but not so much that you don't mind if you miss an episode or two.


By the way, I'm f'ing stoked for season 3. I can't wait for the fall. Hopefully we'll be contending for the AL central, Stanzi will be driving General Lee through the tunnel and onto the field for pre-game entrances, and of course, Walking Dead.
