Now she is against all that out of nowhere to make her seem all heroic.

Actually, if you go back and watch the first season they introduce her issues with people being enslaved in the second or third episode. Problem is, at that time, she herself is enslaved.

Then it is even worse.

She is okay with it when it gives her power.
She is against it when it gives her power.

She doesn't exactly have a core strength of belief there now does she?

She had no power at the beginning of the series. Not sure what you're talking about.

It's called character development. In the books she gets married to Drogo at around 14 years old which in the books was about 4 years ago from where we're at now. People don't formulate their own philosophies and ideals for themselves until adulthood. Also she's clearly NOT okay with the Khalisar raping and pillaging towns. Her protection of the women and children during this time foreshadows her protection of slaves in the future.

Oh Oberyn....I knew that was coming.

I did too once the fight started, too damn cocky.

I have found this to be the best show I've ever experienced, but if Tyrion goes, whats the point? :shake:

I get not having a white knight, but the compelling characters are truly declining. Maybe Sansa becomes a pimptress and starts her revenge, I could get behind that. Literally...

KC_Connection 06-02-2014 12:23 AM

Well shit. The Mountain looks done for (if not already dead), but I guess because he killed Oberyn first he gets the win.

Only chance for Tyrion now might be his brother/last friend in the world stepping in to save him. How Jaime will manage to do that, I have no idea. I just hope he does.

Also, an interesting choice made by Sansa there. It's taken 4 seasons, but she's finally joined the game herself. Really want her and Arya finally meet up next episode (something always seems to step in the way of Stark reunions).

Jorah's dismissal was tough to watch, but you can't say he didn't have it coming after spying on her for as long as he did. I always felt that would be revealed at some point and Tywin, of course, was the one to create the dissension.

Yeah, but if you don't give the audience someone to root for even if they aren't a complete white knight then the audience checks out.

I remember hearing this exact same ridiculous complaint after Ned Stark died in S1. Instead of declining, the audience has more than doubled since then and become a massive success (despite more deaths in a similar vein). Nobody is checking out of GoT here.

I've read that the producers only want to do 8 seasons max. If that's true and there's four seasons left of this, it's hard to see how that will fit into Martin's schedule with two remaining books. Seems like they may have a problem on their hands at some point.

So did sansa sleep with little finger? There in the room together she says she knows what he wants and has a smirk then next thing you know she comes out in leather and black hair and all bad ass

George RR Martin is an obese 65 year old man. Think about how many obese 70 year old men you have seen. I haven't seen many.

There are plenty. The question isnt' really "can he hang on 5 years", but rather can he hang on 15-20 to get through the 8+ books that clearly will be required.

And the answer is "not likely". Depressingly, he seems very resistant to setting up a situation where someone could complete the books for him, as Brandon Sanderson so admirably did for Robert Jordan with the Wheel of Time series.

Way off, she knows he wants King's Landing AND MORE.

She sees his ambition better than anyone.

Season 1 versus 4 seasons of investment in a character. Tyrions story and character are by far the most compelling/entertaining portion of GoTs. Somehow I'm predicting Tyrion slips out of the head removal, but who knows with the sick **** known as George R.R. Martin.

Don't take my imp...
