I live in an NL town.

How many of you guys watch the NL and why in the world would anyone count out the Giants in July, based on their history?

THIS! The Royals get hot, they can beat anyone in the playoffs.

The Royals were the definition of "hot" last year and still lost the World Series to Madison Bumgarner.

No, and it's not even really close. Jake Odorizzi was the third player in that deal coming to KC, and he was a bigger prospect than any of the pieces in this trade for Cueto.

Milwaukee was getting two years of Greinke, though, so the Royals should have gotten much more the Reds got here for Cueto..

All I'm saying is that we'd be competitive with the Giants. Neither team has really changed the way they approach the game. The Royals are improved, and last year we were one base away from tying it up in Game 7.

It seems silly to me that the Giants are some sort of superpower and the Royals are shit in a bag. It'd be a pretty even matchup (again) as a World Series.

Gotcha. Was just curious. There were a lot of pissed off Brewers fans at that trade.

The royals are much better right now. The Giants starters out side of madbum are marginal. The set up of romo, and cassilla is suspect right now.

That might sound stupid considering they just won 5 in a row and have lost one since the all star break, but we have played very bad teams.

Need aoki back, and a starter.

Mav you gotta change that signature. It's time to believe again bro.

It seems to me that Lamb was really really close to Odorizzi in prospect status. If Lamb would have never got TJd and struggled the 1st season after his injury (understandably so) he would have rivaled Odorizzi. I think I valued Lamb a little higher than most Royals fans though. Still, I thought they would give up more so I'm not really pissed about the trade or anything.

I think Almonte in the place of Lamb would have been perfect to me.

I can only imagine how they feel now. To add to it we've done everything we have done with the skipper that they fired 2-3 weeks prior to the postseason in 2008.
