Kenseth did a stop/start in the restart. Too bad, these clowns on TNT are so pro-Joe Gibbs it's disgusting.

Dylan 06-30-2013 01:29 PM

Wow... Great job by Kenseth

Dylan 06-30-2013 01:33 PM

Kenseth with three wins this season...

Edit: 4th win this season?

Al Bundy 06-30-2013 01:33 PM

TNT is having a VERY bush league broadcast.... they love them some Joe Gibbs... and hate them some Hendrick.

I'd like say something here.

**** COMCAST AND THEIR INTERMITTENT CABLE INTERNET CONNECTION FOR THE LAST 30-45 MINUTES

RNR 06-30-2013 01:41 PM

Milk and cookies Johnson had a rocket and this loss has to sting. I like Kenseth and you have to like the shove chips move at the end. Old Happy had little to work with and grinded out a top ten. It pains me greatly to add that Kyle seems to be maturing and him having his head removed from his ass is not good news for his competition. Jr caught a tough break and battled hard for a solid finish~

chefsos 06-30-2013 01:46 PM

It's two or three times this year, off the top of my head, that Johnson has just crushed the field only to have a ****up ruin the day. Nothing personal against him, but I enjoy it every time.

I enjoy it also. I think his ego is getting in the way. The announcers were mocking him about restarts LMAO

Loving it! Great job Kenseth and Great call by his crew chief!!

The restarts are going to get more interesting over the coming year IMO. As drivers continue to play with the rules, and NASCAR not adjust for them, one day the #2 is going to have a team mate behind the #1 car, and they're not going to play nice. And then we'll be watching another saga of why the car behind the leader ran into him and put him in the wall. It's all entertainment for the France's, and for me too, but the vast majority of the new "it's all about me" drivers are going to force the Frances into righting some obvious flaws in the system.

Look at how nothing happens to a driver who goes under the line, pushes when he comes back over the line, and takes-out any number of cars. Nothing.... You want to stop the silly racing, you error on the side of caution and assess a multi-lap penalty to said driver. Sure, some honest mistakes will go punished, but you might catch a lot more of the purposeful Oooopses...

But it's all good... NASCAR knows JJ is about the best driver out there, and he's got unlimited backing, so they need to, let's say, even the field so the fall is interesting...

Boy, Brad and Biffle know this one well don't they? It isn't the first time that Kurt has wrecked baffle like this either. Anyone else remember Biffles fiancé trying to get up on Kurts pit box, I believe it was at texas. And the irony of it all is that had it been the other way around, and brad had wrecked kurt, kurt would of cried bloody murder. I thought brad handled it with absolute class, and that is why he is my favorite driver. Good for Joey moving into the top 10 as well. Brad will make the chase, but clearly, he is snake bitten beyond belief right now.

NASCAR confiscates roof flaps from 31 teams

Quote:

Thirty-one cars, including 16 in the Sprint Cup Series, failed inspection before Thursday's practices at Daytona International Speedway.

NASCAR confiscated the teams' roof flaps, which are designed to keep cars on the ground during spins and wrecks at high speeds, for further inspection. Penalties could be possible.

The cars involved included all three Joe Gibbs Racing entries (Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth), all three Roush Fenway Racing entries (Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.), all three Michael Waltrip Racing entries (Clint Bowyer, Martin Truex Jr. and Michael Waltrip) and both Roger Penske Racing entries (Joey Logano and defending series champion Brad Keselowski). Cars driven by Jamie McMurray, Trevor Bayne, Casey Mears, Marcos Ambrose and Aric Almirola also failed inspection.

The roof-flap spacers had been illegally machined down to reduce weight.

NASCAR inspectors made those Cup teams install new, unaltered roof flaps before drivers were allowed on the track for the first of two practices.

It was too soon to determine if the infractions would result in points or monetary penalties, which typically would be announced 2-3 days after the completion of an event.
