We'll still play KU in non-conference play, right? Hard to imagine there not being a Border War.

ROFL

if I read the thread correctly, its another fan-base that is crying about being left behind. So much so that they are begging to get out of the conference.

"wahhhhh....we deserved a better bowl game....wahhhhh!!"

Oh shit, how did I miss this? You're probably long gone but I'll respond anyway.

First of all, that was the BCS's doing, not the Big XII's. And it's not our fault that all eight (or however many it was) teams ranked ahead of us all lost in the following week. We weren't any less deserving than anyone else.

yes sir it would, big Wolverines fan here.. The more the merrier is how I feel. Michigan fans don't really care about anything around them except for ND and Ohio State but nothing wrong with more in between games :)

**** Missouri. I loathe those ****ers. If they joined the Tawainese junior league I'd be happy.

I'm sick of giving those ****s the reach around by even stepping on the court with us, let alone beating the shit out of them in every single sport.

Go to the Big 10. That conference is perfect for Missouri - an overrated pile of monkey shit that hasn't done jack shit forever. They would fit in with the rest of the ****ing has beens of the Big 10 perfectly.

LOL at Mizzou fans bringing up two years ago the past doesn't matter? Enjoy your Alamo Bowl winning seasons your team isn't the best in the North anymore.

Bug it was the game neither Mizzou or K state has played in.

Oh hell, it was the Alamo Bowl, not the Texas Bowl, I got my years screwed up. I can't believe no one caught that.

Now it's all coming back to me, I remember wondering what all the outrage was about, the Alamo Bowl isn't a bad bowl.

Nobody was saying Nebraska consistently got a leg up...

Nobody.

They were just saying there were a string of screw jobs. 3 years running. They were not all equal but that Nebraska one in the middle was one of them.

It isn't without merit and it really doesn't have shit to do with Nebraska.

I was reading through this thread just saying...wow what are these assholes even arguing about. People were busy defending shit nobody said.

The best part is that I didn't even spell constant right. Oh boy.

You did spell consistent right FWIW. I am curious though, on what are you guys basing which is a better bowl? The payouts?

There's no question KU going to a BCS game was a travesty, but the conferences don't pick who goes to those games. But I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around the outrage over the other pairings.

The outrage was cumulative over the three years. KU getting picked over us for the Orange Bowl will be a sore point for a long time. The other two weren't nearly as significant, and I bet hardly any Mizzou fan would care if they weren't lined up back-to-back-to-back. Three years in a row bowl committees chose teams that we had beaten and finished ahead of in conference. We also had better records than the team that got picked over us in all three years.

Anytime any sport gets away from being a merit-based system to something else it is upsetting to most fans. When it is your own team that gets screwed three years in a row then it can be even more aggravating. Don't get me wrong, going to 2nd/3rd tier bowls probably didn't a whole lot of Mizzou fans excited, but it is still frustrating to have the same thing happen three years in a row. Many fans feel like Beebe and the Big 12 should go to bat to make sure our conference's teams are rewarded accordingly for their level of performance, and stuff like this just serves as confirmation that the people running the Big 12 couldn't care less about Missouri.
