DJ's left nut 04-12-2012 09:25 AM

For the first time in the history of that show, I found myself kinda liking Greg...and then Joan cut his nuts off.

The guy has had such a tough go of it professionally that you couldn't help but be happy for him to finally find a place where he felt needed and where he was clearly thriving. It's something most of us can relate to; just getting beat down for awhile until things finally seem to be locking into place.

Granted - dick move not telling Joan - but Joan knows the kid isn't his and is being all twatish about it. That's incredibly selfish and immature on her part.

Oh well - I'm still quietly holding out hope that they find Betty in a garbage sack at some point.

Let's see, go back to Vietnam for a year, or hang out with this enormous red sex beast, who, against all odds, actually seems to want him around. That's a tough one.

This, but it's gonna have to be a big garbage sack.

Enormous Red Sex Beast. LMAO

Demonpenz 04-12-2012 02:13 PM

I get tired of Don Whoring around.

Greg is an incompetent loser and a rapist who deserves no sympathy whatsoever.

Deep down, I know this. He's as easy to hate as anyone this side of Betty Draper.

But still, I couldn't help but be impressed by how he carried himself in uniform, the way he clearly understood what he was doing and why, etc...

He just seemed like he'd matured a great deal.

But don't worry, they'll probably blow him up now. Or he'll just get the Kinsey/Sal treatment where we never hear from him again. My understanding was that AMC was only able to get Weiner to start writing again after they agreed not to cut the production values if he agreed to cut some cast members.

Greg may be one of those cuts. Wouldn't be surprised if they killed Burt off at some point as well.

Seemed to me he was just getting off on the idea of being respected. That scene in the restaurant where he shit all over the poor waiter for not sucking his all-American dick was a hardly a display of maturity.

That waiter was being rude at a nice restaurant. I didn't really get that scene, and I am no Toby Keith Honk Go america guy. Just a weird scene.

I think this was a pretty good take on it.

The scene was quite awkward though, but what I took away from it was that he enjoys being "the guy" or being in a position of power or admiration. I'm not sure if that makes him a good or bad guy/douche bag. The wine selection part shows how uncomfortable he is by not being the expert or the guy with all the answers.

the Talking Can 04-16-2012 06:29 AM

best episode in awhile, last night...

Reaper16 04-16-2012 08:53 AM

That was the most enjoyable episode of the season from an entertainment standpoint. It was probably a better episode than the premier, too.

Demonpenz 04-16-2012 08:54 AM

It was aight

Saulbadguy 04-16-2012 09:05 AM

The ending of last night episodes was epic.

Reaper16 04-16-2012 09:14 AM

John Slattery directed last night. I think he took some inspiration from Breaking Bad. The use of that drip, some of the camera wipes, and the way that the episode made dark and/or violent moments funny seemed pretty Breaking Bad to me.
