If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Or rather, pay 'em to join you.

The Kansas City Chiefs saw their season end in a playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Now, they may be looking to pilfer the Ravens in free agency. Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that if the Ravens are unable to sign free agent Le'Ron McClain, the running back may find a home with the Chiefs.

Although I'd consider the Lions a darkhorse.

Giants are 6 million over the cap right now.

If you don't think needlessly taking the money in the first place was a cheap move, I don't know what to tell you.

OK the more I think about this, the more I love the idea of it.

Taking their money was a cheese move to begin with, but giving a raise and making it retroactive is something most people wouldn't do.

E: McClain would be nice, but I'm not sure I'd pay the money it'd take to get a RB like him in during this crazy ass FA period.

I'd love for McClain to be a Chief.

Neither Cox nor Castille offer anything in the run game, and are at best average blockers. McClain can step in and outperform both of them in both aspects.

The Chiefs have the money and the opening, but my only question is just how much he wants to carry the ball.

Titty Meat 07-25-2011 04:34 PM

I hope the Ravens releasing McGhaee doesn't mean that McClain will still be a Raven.

It'd be nice if this report came from different sources aside from just Aaron Wilson. Who is he, BTW? Reputable?

McClain needs more carries.

He's a pretty good source for Ravens related stuff, but that report is more of a guess than anything.
