I guess i'll post this again for you.

"Cut blocks are mainly legal in the open field where the defender can hurdle the offensive player but not at the line of scrimmage, where the tactic is particularly dangerous, sometimes causing career-threatening injuries."

NOT FROM BEHIND as was the case, here.

Watch the ****ing play, man.

Ive agreed with a lot of what you've had to say today, but ffs anytime a player tries to put his helmet into the side of another players knee...its an intentionally dirty hit.

No way around that conclusion.

I'm just having a hard time absorbing it. If its legal to come up behind someone & drive your helmet or shoulder-pad down into the back of someone's leg, why doesn't everyone do it to put the other players on IR?

Wouldn't you be if you could work with your son to teach him to be one of the best in his field?

****ing trolls

if the trainers thought he was seriously hurt after that hit, there's no doubt in my mind that they wouldn't have let him back on the field. i have never once said it wasn't dirty but i have been saying it was legal.

read the quote he posted.

Common sense dictates that hitting a players knee from behind on a cut block is illegal.

The key is the part I bolded in my prior quote of his post.

Was his helmet in front of his knee when the block took place?

Asking your opinion. It looks like the helmet is in front to me.

If the helmet is in front, they'll rule it legal. I don't like it, because it's pretty easy to get the helmet in front and come from behind, but Denver did it for decades.

It wasnt legal.

and they sure as hell wouldn't let him walk down steps on his own.

Berry will be back in 4 or less games IMO.

TEs KILLED us ALL YEAR last year.

Dont turn a blind eye to that fact just to make some people feel like losing Berry was the reason another tight end ate our lunch.

Week 1 - Gates 5/76 1 TD
Week 2 - Watson 4/62
Week 3 - Vernon Davis 3/22
Week 5- Dallas Clark 3/20
Week 6- Owen Daniels 5/76
Week 7 - Mercedes Lewis 3/44
Week 8 - David Nelson 3/25
Week 9 - Brandon Myers 3/20
Week 10 - No TE catches
Week 11- Ben Patrick 3/24
Week 12 - Jon Carlson 1/3
Week 13 - Dan Gronkowski 1/8
Week 14- Randy McMichael 2/26
Week 15 - Dan Fells 4/47
Week 16 - Jared Cook 5/96 1 TD
Week 17 - Zach Miller 5/31
WC Game - Todd Heap 10/108

So for the season, the Chiefs gave up more than 50 yards receiving to a TE just 5 times - with 4 of them coming from vet. TE's .

Get the **** out of here with your bullshit. Yeah, Berry really doesn't make a difference covering TEs. Where did they kill us again?

You can post it 100x. It doesn't apply when the receiver is coming up from behind the defensive player.

God, **** you and your sabres.

he came from behind to make the block.

The rule states that its legal if the defender has a chance to hurdle the offensive player.

You cant do that if the offensive player is behind you.

Id like to see a high res screen shot of the moment the contact takes place.

I wish I was home so I could freeze it at the moment that happens...but its hard to do with my road laptop Im using.
