Holland's about to do it two years in a row.

Holland this year is better no doubt. But in fairness to Quiz, his career in total was remarkable. Not the peak of Holland but check this out:

Another win. Not pretty, but who cares? At this point, I think we need to sweep the M's. That lineup has nothing other than Seager, and we've already beaten King Felix. So let's do this.

That's why we absolutely can not allow Seager to beat us. Don't give him anything.

Gotta continue tonight. Smell the upcoming sweep.

You can make numbers say anything you like, so stat nerds have their place, but in the end we have the fatty instead somebody who's a real threat.

Face it, he's a slow ****ing piece of shit.

Time him with a sundial

Parting ways with our most consistent offensive player sure is a winning idea.

It just appears that Butler could be capable of so much more if he took care of himself somewhat better. Billy is good. We need him to be great.

In GIDPs? Did you see him last night? They turned one of his "slow-crushed right to the shortstop" grounders into a DP where he was still five steps from 1st when the 1st baseman caught the ball. That's more than just slow, that's ****ing crazy!

So in your logic, because he's slow it makes him a bad hitter?

Are you really this ****ing dense?

lewdog 09-04-2013 03:50 PM

If you want to say Butler isn't hitting like we need him too, I agree. He needs more pop and he has not been consistent even in the batting average department this year.

But he is still one of the top hitters on this team, him and Hoz at this point. If you're the second/first best hitter on your team, I fail to see why focusing on the DPs and making such a big ****ing deal about it is even relevant. Did you also know that Eric Hosmer is second on the team in grounding into double plays? Billy's fat, we know it. He's also 27 and has accumulated over 1,000 hits.

We've got plenty of turds in this hitting lineup to bitch about....Billy should be near the bottom of that list.

Dear SpEd,

Well, if his only speed is "really slow" he might need to cover up THAT sad fact by putting LOT more over the fence. That way he can jog and "touch 'em all" and nobody cares.. With his current power, he might want to take a few running lessons.
