Though, in keeping with my completely inappropriate things that go through my head, in every interview I have, or give, I have the Monty Python silly interview sketch going through my head the entire time.

That's a drive, but I know people who do that everyday. If you get the job would you move closer, or are you anchored in Lenexa?

pretty much set in the lenexa/ish area for now.

I thought it went well. we spoke for a good hour. Small company who is just adding a new business model to their resume. They said that, essentially, the people who are managing it now don't have nearly the experience they need at the moment during this critical phase. they went from about 35 employees last year to now at about 100. I'm a 100% for this gig. I brought in old construction drawings of some of our tower build outs, contacts, scopes of works, bidding, scheduling etc.

The lady stopped taking notes of my responses after about 10 minutes.....so, I hope that's a good thing lol. As we wrapped it up, she asked if the HR lady had discussed compensation etc - which she had not. so, we discussed it right then and there. I knew what responsibilities were with such a job, so I told them where I wanted to be. She didn't seem to flinch and said "That's certainly reasonable".

Then as we were standing to leave her office she said something to the effect of "well, thanks for meeting with me. I think you'll be hearing from us very soon".

I applied online for the job, and got the interview request the next day. So, they must have liked something. I applied for it even though the description said "4 Yr Degree Required". **** that....this job is my background to a "T" + 14yrs experience...I'm applying anyway lol.

I had a similar commute when I lived in Peculiar, MO and worked in Lenexa. about 35 miles each way. This place is about 5 miles north of Strouds.

Not a bad drive. Though, on the way home I hit SW Blvd/Johson Drive etc south bound at 4 and it was damn slow. So, I have no idea how bad that shit will be during peak rush hour.

Good for you, all the good people I worked with got let go for the best and brightest coming out of college, it was for the future! Didn't work out so well. now they trying to hire some of them back, without success.

speaking of, I was hunting for some offensive t-shirts to wear for when I'm riding the bike, and I saw a black shirt with big white letters on the front that read "PIMP". Must have. it.
