Yeah even though it was contracting I always had benefits too. Just the way the game is played.
Contracting got me where I am. It really gets a bad name. People don't take contracting jobs because they want more stability. But, it's an illusion. They can still get rid of you at any time. Priorties change. Business needs change. Downsizing, merges etc. Nothing to do with your job performance and you can be out on your ass.
This job would be a raise from the contracting salaries I've worked at since down here in Florida. Most money I've ever possibly made. Serious visible position with a global Fortune 150 company. Top 5 admired company. Kind of excited to get out of the contracting game for a change. So its probably going to blow up.:D
