Let me explain, the news has been, first gay trainer in the nfl to come out or gay trainer tired of lying, like gays are hiding in fear. Why does everyone need to feel accepted? Why can’t people be ok with some people not accepting or liking their lifestyle. For example, would you prefer an old, rich, white, MAGA supporting male trainer? I’d love to see those poll numbers. A huge % of people would say no and those people in that group don’t care. It’s fine. We don’t all have to like each other or want to work with each other. Get over it. I’m tired of all the whining. Again, Just treat people with respect. You don’t have to agree with each other.

If everyone had equal rights to marriage and were not discriminated for their sexuality then maybe your utopia would be more realistic.

The trainer came out as gay for attention purposes only. Don't you think that everyone on the team knew he was gay? Of course they did. There are no secrets, much, in a locker room. If he is good at his job, who cares.

I was a platoon leader in the Army. We had a flaming gay, 5' nuthin, black dude section sergeant. He didn't "come out". We all knew. We didn't care. He was one of the best sergeants I ever had.

If he pushed himself on some one, totally different story.

My biggest worry during a massage is accidentally farting.

(and I know there is a gay joke just waiting there, but that is not what I meant)

I would imagine there are a lot of NFL players and coaches who are closeted. When you hear stories about Ryan O'Callaghan and how he considered suicide, it seems like NFL players will go to great lengths to hide it and NFL locker rooms are still not quite there in accepting it. the lack of openly gay players/coaches seems to confirm that. I doubt it was an easy decision. If the locker room didn't know then it completely changes his relationship with players some who may feel uneasy. I imagine it is also a relief to him to go out in public without people gossiping behind his back about the coach that didn't seem straight.

I get if you're talking about an office environment. But the NFL is a little different because it seems understandably more difficult to be gay in that environment

imagine what it's like inside jaguars HQ....a bunch of damn memos about gayness and acceptance from woke management as they try to seriously embark on a chance to win a lombardi for the first time since mark brunell

sounds productive to their corporate goals and just want the fans wanted this year!

Mark Brunell is dreamy! Will he be giving massages too?

You’re making my point for me. No one has a utopia. What if the poll would have been…. Do you prefer a fat trainer or a skinny one? Do you prefer a pretty trainer or an ugly one? Lots of groups are discriminated against. Discrimination happens to everyone for one reason or another. If you look great or do well, then you deal with jealousy and people treat you bad for that. All kinds of discrimination exists. People do better when they stop whining about it and stop these cries for help and longing for acceptance.
