I'm sure they will... it's time for them to prove something. Hell, Gottlieb called them a glorified AAU team on twitter the other night.... but, I don't see them getting it together and actually beating Mizzou on the road. Missouri can't sleepwalk through it, of course, but there's a lot of quit in the Bears.

stonedstooge 02-10-2012 09:58 PM

If Baylor played like they did against KU Wed. night, it will be a blowout.

O.city 02-10-2012 09:59 PM

IMO Baylor has the most talent in the Big 12, if they actually played like an organized team.

However, I don't think they will.

I think MU prob. by 10.

I think it will be closer than that as MU can't completely expose Baylor in the paint like KU. KU just matches up extremely well in the paint with Baylor, which is something I didn't think they did.

I think MU can shoot them out of that zone and beat them tho.

They have top 5 talent in the country... maybe top 2 or 3. But, they all do the same thing, which doesn't include giving a shit about playing defense or working hard on offense...... but, if you're in need of a big 3 or dunk...

O.city 02-10-2012 10:07 PM

It's a scary game thats for sure. I think MU will win, but Baylor is scary.

Perry Jones had 5 points the other night. don't know how that happens. Perry Miller didn't hardly play in the second half.

Again I think MU wins, if they shoot the ball well and or get in the lane and can finish.

Pasta Little Brioni 02-10-2012 10:09 PM

They look like And 1 ballas out there. Disciplined teams like KU are going to pick that apart.

Molitoth 02-10-2012 10:14 PM

I just hope we feed Ratliffe more and stop shooting so many quick 3's. Unless someone is just on fire.

O.city 02-10-2012 10:20 PM

I could see Baylors length giving Rat some problems. MU really needs their guards to live in the paint.

English should have a great game if he can just hit jumpers from the free throw line. Against that zone it's a weak spot .

Ratliff owned Baylor the last time they played. If Mizzou can repeat that, they should win.

O.city 02-10-2012 10:28 PM

Who guarded Jones and Miller in Waco? I assume English guarded one.

The guy has a crazy knack for always "getting his" and staying out of foul trouble against bigger teams. (knock on wood) As has been said a million times on TV, he plays below the rim.... but somehow he's been amazingly successful.

A lot of it has to be the guard play and good offense giving him lots of easy looks. But he's been damned impressive.

O.city 02-10-2012 10:32 PM

Rat just hangs around the rim and gets points. He has a pretty good back to the basket game but it's not crazy good.

He just plays smart and knows the angles.

I don't remember, honestly. I'd guess English and Matt Pressey.

And somehow he has the highest FG% in NCAA history.

O.city 02-10-2012 10:36 PM

That just shows how awfully coached and fundamentally bad Baylor is.

Miller and Jones are lottery picks potentially. There is not way they should let themselves be guarded by Pressey and English. Not a knock on those two, but size wise and skill wise they shouldn't be able to guard them.

Props to the two for being gritty and guarding. I like the way English digs in on the defensive side.

I wasn't trying to knock the guy. I think he is a really good player. He just plays intelligent basketball. gotta respect that.

stonedstooge 02-10-2012 10:37 PM

Little guys on Mizzou have really gotten under the rim and fought for rebounds in the Land of the Giants

Understood. Hell, I agree.
Just sayin'.

KcMizzou 02-10-2012 10:39 PM

And you know a lot of all this has to be... coaching.

stonedstooge 02-10-2012 10:46 PM

Hope Haith uses the sports media in Kansas City to motivate his players. That Kietzmann(sp?) dude tears them up every day on the radio

Seriously... **** that guy.

O.city 02-10-2012 10:48 PM

Keitzmann is a douche. He's a Wildcat. He can EMAW himself in the ass.

KcMizzou 02-10-2012 10:50 PM

He's got some SERIOUS diaper rash about Mizzou going to the SEC. Hell, at one point he claimed he'd never talk about Mizzou again if they did, because KC is a Big 12 town.

KC_Connection 02-10-2012 10:51 PM

I would be surprised if this one didn't come down to the final few plays. Could go either way, but I'd go with Missouri if that happens. They generally make their shots late under pressure and should be buoyed by the crowd.

Does he always get called out by people calling in?

Pasta Little Brioni 02-10-2012 10:52 PM

Well, it's about to become SEC country, so I'm sure his ass will ache even more

O.city 02-10-2012 10:52 PM

When it comes to college basketball, Keitzmann is a goober.

stonedstooge 02-10-2012 10:53 PM

He's been trashing Haley and the Steelers hard too the last few days

O.city 02-10-2012 10:53 PM

I did hear someone talking about that all the sports here in KC aren't gonna cover the SEC as much. Said they will cover MU a little but that it's a big 12 town.

They kinda did that with NEb, but I don't see it with MU. They are full of shit IMO.

O.city 02-10-2012 10:56 PM

Any of you guys wanna go to AFH for the MU KU game? Found some tickets, 1900 a piece.

Not usually, but recently he has. He's been on a crusade against Mizzou for a while. He recently spoke at a "Tiger Club" event, and acted like he couldn't understand why he was boo'd.

I'm suuuure no one will talk about teams like Bama coming to the area ROFL The buzz will be as strong as the butthurt.

It's time to embrace a change.

Keitzmann is a moron.

You just can't alienate half your audience because you're butthurt. Hell, Nick Wright was excited about it. New teams, new talent to cover...

If MU loses tomorrow, it's gonna make it tough on them to win the Big 12 outright.

I think KU likely slips up somewhere tho.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

O.city 02-10-2012 11:05 PM

Only time i really like to listen to Kietzmann is when him and jack are together and they fight about KU and MU.

Not that they have good thoughts it's just funny to hear.

stonedstooge 02-10-2012 11:06 PM

KU has the short time between games this week. Wish they had to travel further, but KState is always a tough place to play

O.city 02-10-2012 11:07 PM

I think KU should win in the OOD, but it's a crazy place.

Kstate isn't playing very well right now.

KcMizzou 02-10-2012 11:07 PM

Whatever happens from here until the Dance... this has been an AMAZING season for Mizzou. 22-2? Who'd a thunk it? I'm enjoying the hell out of the ride.

O.city 02-10-2012 11:08 PM

Would be 21 and 3 if not for those shitty call in Columbia.........I kid I kid.

If I was the type of person who said stuff like "this game scares the shit out of me," I'd say the game in Stillwater 50 hours after MU comes to AFH scares the shit out of me.

O.city 02-10-2012 11:10 PM

That game is scary. It all depends on Nash for OSU. He is the barometer to them winning or not.

Ku always struggles there.

What time is the MU BU game tomorrow btw?

Dr. Gigglepants 02-10-2012 11:13 PM

I think Baylor is looking for any excuse to fold up shop on the season. I say we give it to 'em in the first 5 minutes of the game and we cruise to a big win.

It has been a really great year for Tiger basketball. I really wish you guys were staying in the Big 12, just for the basketball rivalry sake. When both teams are good, it's IMO the second best rivalry in CBB.

But you guys got a great deal and couldn't have turned it down.

Anyway good luck tomorrow.

Kc, I'm a KU guy. Basketball anyways.

I actually am one of those forbidden breeds that follows KU basketball, but likes to watch MU football.

O.city 02-11-2012 10:02 AM

So here is a question, how the hell does Scott drew keep getting all this top talent to Waco?

Just ask because I seen something on ESPN insider that said P.Jones would have benefited from a different college coach, and I was just wondering why.

Yes, KSHB 41 at 12:30pm

Just found out last night I've got a ticket to Mizzou-ISU in Columbia end of this month. It's on Tiger Row. Tiger Row are courtside seats across from the Missouri Bench. I think there's only 20 of those that are sold to big buck boosters. One of my buddies works for a major contributor to the Mizzou Athletic Dept, and the big booster dude has four of them. He's out of town that week, so my pal got the tix. Freakin' Amazing. I've sat there on a couple different occasions. I'll attach a picture from the vantage point.

O.city 02-11-2012 11:55 AM
