He's a great basketball player. I'll defend his game any time.

Kobe has finally shown up in this series...it just may not be enough at this point. Should be a good 4th.

The better they are, the more they get away with. I don't expect pro athletes to be saints, but Artest has a history of being a POS on the court.

OKC +10 on the glass? Gasol/Bynum (especially Bynum) should be ashamed, but it's not the first time in these playoffs that could be said. 'Course, how excited are you to play when your "leader" is busy throwing you under the bus.

KC_Connection 05-21-2012 09:58 PM

The Lakers look done, Kobe's not hitting his shots anymore.

I don't see why we have to wait 6 days for the Spurs/OKC series to start. It should start like on Thursday or Friday.

notorious 05-21-2012 09:59 PM

Westbrook is the MVP of this series. The Lakers PG's have been dominated again. At least they don't have Fisher to blame this time

Kobe is good at pointing fingers.

that is the most effort I have seen Gasol give all series

Welp, that's that. But if anybody was going to beat my Lakers, I'm glad it was the Thunder.

KC_Connection 05-21-2012 10:17 PM

Only Kobe and Metta came to fight today. The rest of the Lakers didn't show up at all. I think that will be the end of Gasol on this team.

Got to give Ron Ron credit; he motivated the hell out of the Thunder and their fans.

if I could ask about OKC, can you tell me if they are the youngest team in the playoffs? tia

Classy job by the Lakers after the game, especially Kobe. You know he's absolutely burning inside, but spoke to the Thunder players and coaches afterward.

Dr. Johnny Fever 05-21-2012 10:21 PM

I'm only a passive fan of the NBA but any day the Lakers are done before winning a title is a good day. If I have a team at all it's OKC. Go Thunder!!!

Yeah they are. The way the team was built and the talent they have, if they stay together, I could see them winning multiple championships.

They can't keep everybody. It will be interesting to see if Harden is willing to stay and whether they keep Ibaka or Perkins (assuming Harden stays).

Harden is fun to watch on this team, but would also be interesting to see him with his own team playing 38 minutes a night.

I don't question Kobe's effort ever, but he did essentially choke away two entire games this series.

I think they will try to keep Harden and Ibaka for sure. Perk shouldn't command a huge deal, so they should be able to keep him as well. Time will tell, though.

I think you go back to Houston if you're the Lakers. Lowry is probably a possibility now the way Dragic played down the stretch. Add Lowry and Scola for Gasol and your starters are better overall and your bench improves with Sessions now the PG off the bench.

Pitt Gorilla 05-21-2012 10:40 PM

Why did the lakers think that Sessions or Blake could guard Westbrook? That's absurd.

They'll absolutely try to keep Harden, but he may decide he doesn't want to come off the bench and be the 3rd guy on a team anymore. So it's more about his decision than OKC management.

Why would Houston trade Scola for Gasol?

They were willing to do it a few months ago, and I don't think things have changed that much. I'm guessing Houston still believes Gasol is the low post scorer they need and was misused this season.
