Skyrim 1.9 Update on Consoles

Beginning today Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players will have access to Skyrim’s 1.9 title updates by way of an automatic title update. Just be sure to have your console connected online to receive the title update.

In addition to adding Legendary Skills and the new Legendary difficult setting, the update adds a number of bug fixes. Full details below…

Skyrim 1.9

NEW FEATURES
  • Legendary difficulty setting
  • Legendary Skills – Skills of 100 can be made Legendary. This will reset the skill to 15, return its Perks and allow the skill to affect leveling again. This effectively removes the overall level cap.

Just downloaded Dragonborn. Have to say I'm liking it so far. I never really bought into the werewolf/vampire thing so Dawnguard will be the last official DLC I load. Anybody have suggestions on good quest mods?

Anyone use the construction kit?

buddha 05-08-2013 09:29 AM

My kids use the construction kit and seem to enjoy it. They also dig Minecraft as well, so take it for what its worth.

Can somebody explain why I would want to have one of my 100 skill areas returned to 15 and start working up in that area again? What is the advantage?

The only advantage I can think of is that it lets you get your overall level up over 80 or whatever it maxes out at in the original game.

Yes, this is the concept.

It overcomes the 'soft cap' of maxing out all skills and being unable to level higher once maxed.

With the level reduced you can raise the skill again, and as you level you obviously gain more hard stats along with it.

OK, I wasn't sure about whether that happened or not. That makes sense.

Yes, you keep gaining perks and the ability to increase one of your stats.

I let my friend borrow it. Can't wait to get it back. I'm on Bioshock Infinite and Dead Island Riptide right now.

I believe your roommate is incorrect.

As I understand it's going to be on both, and they'll be segregated from PC and Mac players.

Raiderhater58 06-14-2013 02:52 AM

will PS4 and XBox1 share the same server(s)?

Think that's how it's supposed to work. Consoles on one, home computers on another.
