For example, I just noticed that in my 1st and 11+ setting for Duluth, my 4 WR set was set to 8 percent passes when it was supposed to be 80 percent. This has happened a few times now. I'll watch to see if I see a pattern.

I couldn't reproduce this error. Keep an eye out to see if it happens again. One check you can make is to refresh the page after you've up dated your game plan. It will reload with the values stored in the database.

WE WANT THE SIM! WE WANT THE SIM!

IMPORTANT

Well dang. League 1 somehow got bumped to week 7. I've reset it to week 6, but you will need to do a quick check of your lineups. I'm very sorry, and more disturbingly, I have no idea how this is happening.

This only pertains to League 1.

I'll wait till 9:00 PM on Sunday to do the week 6 sims.

cdcox 06-30-2012 10:25 PM

Ok, I've written a confirmation page that should keep me from advancing the league week on accident.

Hammock Parties 06-30-2012 10:47 PM

My lineup looks fine. Same as it was.

I finally got the sims to run.

TrueDog -- I noticed your lineup was set to all free agents. Was this intended? Did you do any thing weird to set them or did you just use the selector? The reason I ask is that free agents should set to null in the lineup, but all of your values were zero. I had to add about 100 lines of code to the game simulator to run you sim. That's not a big deal because it was needed anyway to make the sims more robust, but I'm just wondering if there is some other glitch that I need to hunt down.

Oh man, I won a 38-31 shootout. My heart is beating fast. This should be an interesting play by play.

The Vision is stepping out in my division, but my three best offensive weapons Matt Schaub, Fred Jackson, and Greg Jennings will all be going down soon.

I just noticed that in my software Fred Jackson only went down for 1 week. I'll be fixing the player availability database soon.

Fred Jackson, stay down, bitch.

Hammock Parties 07-01-2012 10:58 PM

Holy crap, Darren Sproles went HAM in my game.

327 total yards (including returns) and 2 TD.

Hammock Parties 07-01-2012 11:33 PM

Stats from my thrilling game:

Tom Brady - 23 for 33, 231 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT

Roddy White - 8 catches, 76 yards

Torrey Smith - 4 catches, 82 yards, 1 TD

Santonio Holmes - 3 catches, 43 yards, 1 TD

Reggie Bush - 21 carries, 151 yards, 1 TD

Ahmad Bradshaw - 9 carries, 30 yards, 1 TD

Ricky Williams - 2 carries, 0 yards

Sacks - Charles Johnson, Julius Peppers (2)

Brandon Banks made his first impact as a returner, with a 73-yard TD.

I'm pretty pleased that:

A) Even though my left tackle has been out, having Tom Brady seems to negate the effect. I have given up 1 sack in 2 weeks.

B) I made a lineup change to take advantage of a weak RT in this last game, switching Peppers to left end. Cam Newton was pressured 16 times so that worked out.

C) My RB ratio is falling into place the way I have it set.

Next game:

Caleb Hanie vs Tom Brady

That didn't happen by accident. The sims take into account the sack rate of QBs and how they perform under pressure. Now that most of the glitches have been ironed out, I'm pretty proud of the sim engine.

**** no, I didn't intend that! I logged in specifically to set my lineups set yesterday morning.
Now pardon me if this comes off as pissy, and I know you're woking on things, but if I had paid for this, I would have passed pissed about four exits back.
Just not gonna say a whole lot more right now, because nothing would come out as appropriate.

Wow. I was out my in-laws this weekend. Who somehow, although they live in the middle of metro St. Louis, are devoid of ANY Verizon services, so I wasn't able to do any checking or lineup editing.

My week 6 game appears to have been played with the cast of "The Replacements".

Missed an opportunity there.

Things it would occur to add. Probably not pressing as you're working on AI and such right now. You might have plans for some or all of these already, but thought I would mention:

1) When doing lineups, have the week that the lineup is valid for clearly displayed on that page. That seems like an easy fix to a lot of the confusion that has happened.

2)Why not allow people to do their game plans and lineups weeks in advance? There are not going to be any surprise injuries, so why not let an owner plan for a vacation to the desert by having his tactics and lineups set for 4 consecutive games... Or even the whole season. This might be difficult to code, I imagine.

3)Install a "watch" button that allows an owner the ability to scroll through the line score without knowing the outcome of the game before hand. Seems like it would be a fairly easy addition and add a fun element to reading through games.

My Duluth Pillagers are now 2-4, having lost on the last play of the game this week. The fans are starting to tire of Phillip Rivers and his interceptions, and chants for Ryan Fitzpatrick are starting to occur.
