Personally, if I were a Heat fan, I'd be worried about Wade deteriorating mid season.

Going back to the regular, non-compressed NBA schedule will help both team's aging players (Wade, Ray Allen, Kobe, Nash, Pau).

As long as the Lakers stay healthy I have to give the edge to them. Outside of Lebron the Heat just don't match up well now.

The warm-up games are all but over. #1 overall playoff seed locked up.

The HEAT are the first defending champion to have the best overall record in the NBA since the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls.

Ira Winderman @IraHeatBeat
The Heat's 64 wins are the third most ever by a defending champion trailing only the Bulls in 1996-97 (69 wins) and 1991-92 (67 wins).

I'm not sure how much of a pay cut he'd take but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Dwight Howard plays for Miami next season after the LAL stint.

After his actions & performance the past 2 years I'm not sure Miami would want him.

remember when it was rumored when Lebron reached out to an anonymous all-star Center who was going to be an FA after the Mav finals loss? I always assumed that was Howard.
