I think this service is more valuable than live in that you at least get some free games to play as long as you keep your subscription. I just don't like that they are giving the other regions a better deal at the start than the US.

I went ahead and signed up for the year + 3 months free. Downloaded Wipeout HD for free - always wanted to try that. I can see the value if they give away a free PSN game every month.

holding off on this for now. If they would have given away Little Big Planet at launch then I probably would have signed up. I don't see the value in it even if they are giving away a bunch of "free" stuff I wouldn't have purchased anyways.

I'm kind of in that boat too. I need to see what PSN titles they do for a few months before I will even consider it. My gut tells me the PSN titles will be crap titles over time. They are just starting out with a hit title to get people in. I could care less about PS1 titles and Minis.

traded my 360 into vintagestock and bought another ps3.

first i took the xbox to gamestop to see what i could get for it. not only did they insult me by offering 40, they informed me that they would only give me 20 because the flap on the faceplate where the usbs are isnt springloaded anymore. so i said **** that. vintagestock offered me 83. and they had a refurbished 120 gig ps3 slim for the same price as a fat 40 gig.

bought littlebigplanet killzone 2 and rachet & clank( prob gonna take that back)

Rented god of war 3. incredible visuals. gonna start on the Uncharteds after that

Dude.....Gamestop is complete shit when it comes to trading in systems.

I tried selling my 360 Elite over a year ago. I called Gamestop to see what they would offer me and they said that they couldn't tell me over the phone. I told her that I wasn't going to come down there if they were going to offer me a $100 for it. She said it wouldn't be that much....it'd be less than that.

****ing pathetic...

Could use a little help if anyone knows what is wrong.

For some reason my ping is really bad all of the sudden and I can't play games online with the PS3. I can connect to the Madden servers and can connect to the matchmaking server on Modern Warfare 2 but it won't put me in a game. The only way I can play online is if I join one of the people on my friends list session but I have a really bad connection.

Anybody know why this just started happening today and what I can do to fix it? I did an internet connection test on the PS3 and it detects my router and the download/upload speed that it finds is what it normally is...

I only have Madden, MW2, and Red Dead Redemption and none of them work online. I can connect to the servers but they won't let me play against anybody.

Man that stuff is too complicated. I probably will have to give it a try, but I don't understand why I would have this problem out of the blue.
