Which means he was probably looking for it. He'd already gone down there once. He needed to change Cruz's eye level.

Kelly should be the 5th starter. Lyons needs to pack his bags and head back to AAA.

Kelly earned the next start with his performance tonight.

Ya its kind of wierd but Kelly seems to pitch a lot better as a starter. He comes in late inning relief and gets crushed.

Kelly deserves to be #5. Hopefully Lynn can re-learn how to throw a breaking pitch or we are going to be in a world of shit with this rotation.

We may have jinxed ourselves earlier by over boasting the pitching staff. We have some problems.

Who jinxed the Tigers, Rangers etc.? Shit happens. Thats why the old cliche "You never have enough pitching" became a cliche.

Yeah, we need to have Waino, Miller and Lynn firing on all cylinders come playoff time. And we need another pitcher to step up for the 4th pitcher that is always needed.

I don't follow other teams as close as you do but isn't our pitching still in good shape or should be come playoff time when compared to other teams?

IF we make the playoffs our pitching will be deficient. As great as Miller has been he's still a rookie. He's going to throw more innings than he ever has, and it's likely that he will begin to show the effects of that wear and tear in August and September. He's never thrown more than 140 innings.

Lynn should be able to handle the workload, but if he can't get the feel for his breaking pitches he'll get slaughtered the second time through the lineup.

Westbrook is a #5 that we are going to need to pitch like a #3.

If you're the optimistic type, you can hope that Martinez or Wacha will develop enough and still have enough in the tank to give us critical post-season starts.

San Francisco's SP is quietly deficient. Cain is really good, but not great (and he's been average this year), Bumgarner is Garcia-esque, and Lincecum is no longer a viable starting option. Vogeldong's deal with the devil expired and he's hurt.

Arizona has Corbin, who would eat our lineup alive, but no one else is scary.

Cincy's rotation is filled with 2s and 3s: Cueto, Latos, Bailey, and Arroyo.

Atlanta's should be a little scary b/c Maholm is a soft-tossing lefty, Minor has been great and is their true ace, but Teheran is the wild-card. Plus, Beachy is coming back, but who knows what he'll give them.
