Thanks! |
Telling KCMizzou about mods got me thinking about this again, so I downloaded some new mods and started a new character. This time around I focused less on Lydia's rack (although it's still there and glorious) and more on the immersive realism mods. Went with Frostfall, Basic Needs, Hunterborn, Immersive Weapons and Armor and Open Cities. Now my character needs to eat, drink, sleep and worry about elemental exposure, which hits quick in the snowy areas. Getting wet in the cold areas will also **** you up quickly. Includes extras like building fires, foraging for wood and other items, creating and pitching tents (different types, depending on weather conditions), crafting extra items, both usable and alchemical, from animal carcasses. Adds a whole new dimension to the game - sort of like hardcore mode in Fallout, only on steriods. Does make the game a bit twitchy, though. Open Cities is also cool because now the city gates just open and you walk through.
One drawback from all this is that crashes are fairly common. I have a good system, but its a couple of years old now, so it might be time to upgrade some components. I'd like to add a couple more, including Warzones, but I don't know if my older rig can handle it. As it stands now, quicksaving often is a good idea. |
I have to say, I enjoy "Loki's sceptre" mod.

Also, Thor's hammer is absolutely monstrous.

Yeah I guess I would buy some, or find them in books. But other than that I generally didn't try getting my skills up.
One exception 100 smithing before they made that patch so I could get dragon armor. |
