"He doesn't listen to Cardinals coaches much now and that's why he gets into these funks" ~ Cardinals Manager Tony LaRussa on Colby Rasmus. |
Albert gets a gift.
How do they miss that call even after using replay? I'll take it, though. |

Rumors are that Rasmus is going to Toronto for Jackson and a reliever.
Yes, you read that right, Edwin Jackson and a MFing reliever (probably Jason Frasor). Jackson has already been told that he's being traded to Toronto and all reports are that he's then being flipped to STL as Toronto doesn't believe Gross is ready to play CF. I'm done with this franchise until LaRussa is gone if this goes down as reported. I won't have him hold my ballclub hostage anymore. I'm tired of this curmudgeonly one who sucks the penis dealing young talented players because he doesn't feel like dealing with them. |
Rosenthall says it's done pending league approval (more than $1 million trading hands).
Unbelievable. Absolutely un-****ing-believable. LaRussa absolutely has to go. Continuing to support this ballclub will give DeWitt all the ammunition he needs to keep him. I'm rooting for the Pirates and Reds until LaRussa is gone. The Bucs are building the right way and the Reds have the GM that created all of LaRussa's success in STL. I'm done with this organization until LaRussa is gone if this deal goes down as reported. |

Just because a player is young and has potential doesn't mean they are worth keeping. Rasmus is obviously not mentally strong. Not something he is likely to just overcome. |
