This happened right before OT.

Yikes. I've gone over those scenarios a few times now and I still don't have it right. I do know how to fix it.

Stats:

Tom Brady - 25 of 43 for 305 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT

Roddy White - 4 catches, 61 yards

Santonio Holmes - 6 catches, 85 yards, 1 TD

Torrey Smith - 5 catches, 65 yards

Reggie Bush - 27 carries, 120 yards, 4 catches, 53 yards, 1 TD

Ricky Williams - 6 carries, 33 yards, 1 TD

Sacks - 0

Interceptions - Sean Smith, D'Qwell Jackson

Michael Vick was pressured on an incredible 26 pass attempts out of 42. He passed for only 160 yards so I'm happy with my secondary this game out.

Fortunately, my defense held.

In an effort to bring back more exciting kick returns has cdcox changed the rule to one for each team to open the 3rd quarter? The correct team got the ball, I just found this odd.

Boom - suck it, Austin. That was a huge win for my otherwise wildly underachieving squad.

The week after I criticize Bryant for being unproductive, he goes off for 8 catches, 103 yards and 3 TDs (4 catches, 80 yards and 1 TD in a single drive).

Harvin went for his usual 8 catches, 116 yds and a TD.

MJD had one of his more productive days, with 82 yards off 16 carries and another 36 yds off 2 receptions.

Aaron Rodgers with an incredibly efficient day; 18/24, 251 yds, 4 TDs, 0 INTs and another 41 yards off 5 carries. A nice little QB rating of 147 for Rodgers.

Then again my defense was kinda crap; Ryan went 20/27 for 226 yds and a TD himself, for a QB rating of 111.

I think it's definitely a gray area. As a long-term fix, perhaps GMs could adjust their strategy, but that would be very low priority. My thinking is that I'd go for two in this situation, just because I think the payoff of being tied outweighs the downside of being down by two points instead of one. But I can see arguments both ways, so it's no big deal.

Week 9 rosters are available. The season is officially at the halfway point.

One of my teams has decided to start him at wide receiver due to a shortage of receivers. I haven't been tracking stats, though.

I'm working on a season stat function even as we speak. Should have passing stats done in a couple hours. Rushing and receiving stats in a day or so.
