Good teams win games like that though, so it was a good win for MU.

Should be a good game against KSU, they seem to match up with you guys pretty well.

It was sloppy. Way too many careless passes resulting in turnovers. I didn't feel like Mizzou had the level of intensity they've had most of the season.

But, they stayed in control of the game and took care of business. (and that's what's important)

I'm guessing they'll be plenty intense at home vs KSU.

KSU will try and play the same way that the Aggies did today. They are better at it than A&M though. It should be a good game.

Nice article. Thanks for posting.

Think about that team....

Phil Pressey
Michael Dixon
Keion Bell
Jabari Brown
Earnest Ross
Danny Feldman
Laurence Bowers

Add in the new recruits that Haith and Co have for next year and we could be in for another good year.

Yep. And Mizzou will be dialed in trying to avenge that earlier loss. Agree that it should be a good game.

I expect Mizzou to win. (I expect them to beat anyone at home) But KSU has a knack for making the game ugly, and forcing you to play their style. (both in basketball and football). Mizzou can scrap a little when they have to too, though.

Mizzou never really put them away, but Mizzou also never really let them back in the game either. Mizzou took the lead at the 1:47 mark of the first half and never trailed after that.

Too many turnovers today, that is my main negative observation. Mizzou stayed calm and composed down the stretch, and got a big road win in a place Mike Anderson never won at.

K-State also might be in a bit of a let-down mode after the big win. They have to be feeling that they have made the tourney now, so they might relax just enough for Mizzou to get a jump on them.

A&M had the ball with about a minute and a half left, down 5.

They were in the game.

MU had their chance to put their foot on A&m's throat when they had a 11 point lead and the ball, they just wasted some possessions.

KcMizzou 02-18-2012 04:38 PM

Good lord, Page is torching Texas. 36 points with 8 minutes left.

They were in the game. But five was as close as they got in the last ten minutes. Still two possessions. And when Denmon had the chance to put the dagger in, he drove it home so hard, A & M completely collapsed and could not even make the inbounds pass.

It was a good win. It could have easily been a trap game, Mizzou could have been looking ahead to the K-State game. The Tigers stayed focused, and played well, except for the turnovers.

Sure... but they stayed in control the entire time. Kept them at arms length. That's fine for a road game, IMO. You're not gonna blow everybody out by 20+

OSU up by nine. That would be a nice upset for KSU fans, it would pull K-State back into a tie with Texas in the standing. Hopefully OSU can play that well when Kansas comes to town.

KcMizzou 02-18-2012 04:41 PM

Hell, wasn't long ago we couldn't buy a road win.

(I'm looking at you, Mike Anderson.)

I'm not gonna complain about this one.

O.city 02-18-2012 04:42 PM

MU has had a ton of close calls on the road during conference play. They've been really good in pulling out close games on the road.

Yep, a good solid road win. Nothing spectacular, not a blowout, but a good solid win that good teams get during a long season. Anderson would have overlooked this game and it would have been an upset. I like how Haith is keeping the guys focused.

Saul Good 02-18-2012 05:20 PM

That article really makes you realize that Mizzou is going to be stacked the next few years. Haith is the man.
