Correct me if I'm wrong but on Baltimore's 7 play, 75 yard, TD scoring drive where they did nothing but rush the ball, Sutton was calling a nickel D........

I don't necessarily have a problem with the scheme, I have more of a problem with the fact that he was given more talent to improve certain areas and they didn't get better.

Plus when said players come in and play worse than they have elsewhere and as a whole, I think it's time for a new voice.

The safety play has just killed the defense in my honest opinion. They don't have enforcers back there, Parker is just out there.

Parker was brought in because he knew the system. Sorenson is out there because he knows the system.

I'd rather put DOD and Lucas out there with their speed. They will make mistakes but at least with their speed and athletic ability they can also make plays and compensate some.

DOD and Lucas have been out there and they've made horrible, horrible mistakes. They're every bit as bad as the guys currently playing...

The devil you know mantra DJLN likes fits here. He knows Parker and Sorenson aren't good, but atleast they'll have an idea where to go? I dunno.

Nope - ragland was dragged at least twice. We were in base sets for that drive.

Maybe, but atleast they would hopefully not continue to make said mistakes.

They have upside though. They will learn. Parker and Sorenson have already learned.

DOD has been putrid outside of that Bengals game, but Lucas isn't that bad, or at least not bad enough for him to be riding the bench for a lot of the game when Parker and Murray suck as bad as they do.

I have no idea how much of our defensive misgivings are on Bob vs just a serious lack of talent in the secondary. I suspect we will be drafting a lot of defensive players next year.
