My Otis "Otie" as a puppy. I'll have to post a more recent pic of him soon. My best buddy. He is right at a year and a half old now.

Great looking pup. How big do those things get. Looks like an awesome breed.

God of Thunder 03-08-2009 09:21 PM

I LOVE the breed! He'll get about 55-70 pounds, he is an active dog, but just an absolute blast. Plus, aussies have that "smile" and if your not sure what im talking about, look here, he does it every morning when he wakes up and see's you. Or i've you've been gone, and come home, he'll do it a LOT, its so funny.

I bought him in osceola, MO. The lady is a nationally known breeder, here is her website where you can view all of her current puppies, if you're interested!

My parents have an Aussie that looks exactly like yours. He is a cattle dog, guard dog, chases pests, plays fetch, etc...

TONS of energy!

Awesome. I've only really had dogs as an adult. Both have been Golden Retrievers. I currently have Otis, a 1 and a half year old. Bar none the best dog that has ever lived.

He has a ton of energy, but also is fine with lying around the house with me. (Currently is napping at my feet.) Easy to train, great house dog, and the best personality you could ask for.

I take him for walks to and around campus about twice a week and then to the local dog park another two times a week. College girls seem to dig him.

I will check out Aussies. I'm a one dog at a time person for the most part, so hopefully I won't need to look into actually acquiring another dog for 12-15 years or better :grovel: but I have become dog lover since going to the dog park on a regular basis. Never knew so many awesome breeds of dogs existed.
