I d/l DVDLive, burned it to DVD and rebooted. When my machine restarted it booted into some form of DOS with an "A:\>" any ideas on what went wrong?

I don't have any problems with windows, but I'll give this a try just to see what it's like. My question is since I don't have any blank cd's right now, can I run the ISO's on a virtual drive? Otherwise I might have to get up to go buy some cd's.

If you have an nVidia or ATI video card I can't recommend highly enough that you try out Xgl. It is smoooooth as hell.

since the laptop i have 10.1 on only has an INTEL video card... any other suggestions for that?

also can Xgl run on 10.0 for my Desktop that has the nVidia MX4000 PCI card in it?

I'm not sure what an MX4000 is, so I'm not sure. SuSE has a "whitelist" of know-to-work cards on their Xgl site.

It's said to work with 10.0 but it's known to work better on 10.1.

Depends on what your music client is, really.

If you're just looking to set up Winblows/Mac/Linux compatible shares then SAMBA is the only way to go. If you're looking to broadcast a streaming station then I have no clue, never tried.

No, I had to buy those. However, I feel good supporting games companies that abstract out the platform so they aren't tied to the beast.
