4 #1 seeds have never made it to the finals since they expanded the tournament.

Would have to ask our resident old fu*ker, skip, if there have been any before. He can give the history since 1800 - he lived it.

If that does happen, and UNC ends up beating Memphis, we will have a TON of reeruned monkey brackets breaking 20-way ties for 1st in bracket pools all across the country.

Alzheimers is a bitch.

I don't care what the regular season was - they won the championship.

Best team in the nation that year.

If Davidson wins this year - they deserve the title.

God I hate old, bitter fuckers like you

haha come on. skippy is fun to listen to rant and yell at kids that run onto his lawn. i think we will finally agree to disagree. i still don't understand how winning six games in a row makes you the best team. it makes you deserve it, yes, but the best...no.

If a #15 seed happened to win it, would that make them the best?

I disagree - KU won the championship - ergo they are the best team.

If they decide to change they format of the tournament then the debate can change.

For now, the team that wins the tournament is the best team in the country.

Hopefully we can agree that we want KU to win this year.

I know there's a difference between the most talented team and the best team, and I think there can also be a difference between what the scoreboard says and the actual best team.

Kansas didn't even win their conference in '88. They were the best team over the course of a few weeks, and yes, when it mattered.. but IMO the 'best team' is the one with the best resume.

You don't put "I got an A on my final" on your resume, even though that's the one that matters.

Obviously, it doesn't matter... it's a good debate. I'm glad the tournament has worked out like it has this year... I like seeing the very best in the EE and FF, and that's what we're going to get

Hawks shot 52%. Held nova to a measley 36%.
Nice defensive effort.
Bring on Davidson Sunday.

No it's more that you aren't very smart. You make really stupid statements on a board that has real Jayhawks fans. Like I said, go put your ignorance up on the Jayhawks board. You'll get run out of town

I think they will advance past the 16, past the 8 and past the 4.

Are they the best since '88 if they lose on Sunday? Or is the '03 team that lost the championship by 3 points to 'Cuse the second best?

Nice win KU fans. Good luck aganist Davidson. I'd be intruged to see how they'll match up aganist Curry. Dude is tough to defend, especially in the 2nd halves...

Again, I disagree. If that "A" says you are the best in the country at what you do - you highlight it on your resume.

This is not like saying I got an "A" on my math test. It's more like saying I proved my theory of .....

You won - you are the best at that pont in time.

How this guy isn't anywhere on NBA draft boards is beyond me. Guy has all the tools except he's kind of a pussy. He can't take much contact, but he's a guard so he'll be alright. I bet he can bench 185 pounds...Durant can't say that and he's averaging 20 a nite in the pros

God bless "Danny and the Miracles" but they were far from the best team that year. We used Stickboy (from Tulsa) for a point guard and Danny (as skinny as he was) was our "Big Man". We borrowed a Wichita State transfer from the football team, Clint Normore, as another guard. Does anyone know who Chris Piper is? That NC was truly a miracle.
