But you dismissing Lesnar as a joke who does not stand a chance and going off on anyone who disagrees is pretty dumb. If your boy Carwin gets it done you can post the I told you so posts. I have said I am new to MMA but that does not mean I am not allowed to take a GUESS on who will win. Because That is all everybody is doing experts included taking a guess. Till these fellas strap leather and start trading nobody knows the outcome~

I haven't dismissed Lesnar as possibly winning at all. I said with heavyweights anything can happen. And Lesnar is a world class athlete. However if you're going to give an opinion and it's not an educated one, then don't argue about your opinion. If a guy says that Lesnar will win because of the size factor that doesn't make a damn bit of sense, seeing how Carwin and LEsnar are roughly the same size. Or that Carwin will need a lucky punch. People like this will get their comments taken apart because well, they are dumb.

Lesnar could easily come in and take it to the ground and do his usual lay on a guy for as long as it takes to tire him out routine and win. But I don't find it likely when you put it all together. Two guys, same size, similar backgrounds, the difference being that CArwin hits like a ****ing freight train and LEsnar has shit stand up ability. So if everything cancels everything out, what are you left with? If Carwin keeps it standing then this fight will be over early. Lesnar's only chance is to take CArwin down and control him there. And I don't see that happening without LESNAR landing a lucky punch.

The only thing I have said about Lesnar is I have never seen a guy that big as quick or with that type of agility. I think he will be a handful for any heavyweight because he has the speed and agility of a much lighter man. That sure as hell does not mean a guy with Carwins striking ability cannot give him a nap~

And I agreed with all of that. 100%. So I'm not sure what you're arguing with me about.

What I thought was silly was for dude to say that Carwin needed luck or that Lesnar would win due to size. When Carwin has finished everyone in the first round and is bigger than Lesnar. Neither takes on the fight made any sense.

There are guys who have to cut weight to make fights because they are dropping down to a lower class or they put on large ammounts of weight between fights. Raberto Duran is a case in point. He often would swell to 185 lbs or more and have to cut weight...a lot! to fight. H

Yeah I see the weight thing as a neutral factor. Both guys are similar size. Both guys are powerful guys. So I think it comes back to this.......

1. Brock wins IF he's THAT much better than Carwin on the ground. Meaning, Brock can truly hold Carwin down and go GnP on him. Some say he had no problem holding Herring and Mir down. But Neither of those guys have the wrestling background that Carwin does. Couture had no problem getting up from underneath Brock. Now, Couture is like a man amongst boys in terms of wrestling, but I don't think Carwin is a slouch obviously. So again, can Brock hold him down? Hard to say.

2. Carwin wins if he keeps it standing. Brock has no knockouts to his credit and his standup is about as amateur as one can get at that level. Lesnar's camp may be trying to work in a strategy where Brock does in fact stand up for a while. Long enough to get Carwin to believe he's going to stand, so that he can work the shoot. This is what I believe you will see happen. Brock will stand long enough to make Carwin believe that he's willing to do that, then he will work the shoot. If Carwin can work his sprawl and keep it on the feet, the match won't go on very long because Carwin will knock him out if it turns into a stand up match.

I think that covers about everything.

Roberto Duran is a case in point. He often would swell to 185 lbs or more and have to cut weight...a lot! to fight. He would have nothing but fat to lose. Lesnar holds 265 lbs and that appears to be his natural (in shape weight) I have no idea if Carwin holds 275 lbs natural or if he tends to fight weight like Duran. Weight and power are two different things~

Carwin started the camp for the fight against Mir at 300 pounds. He started this camp at 275 and has stayed near that. That's from the horses mouth. :D

The only reason I gave you a hard time is that you seem very knowledgeable but tend to respond in anger. I understand someone saying something you feel is silly but you should lighten up IMO I have a huge advantage over you...I have to proof read! it gives me a chance to cool off :D

Fedor is weak sauce. The last top flight Heavy he fought was years ago. He's just a puppet for the Russian Mob. I think if Carwin lays his hands on Brock it's all over now baby blue. I'll take the engineer over Mr. Sable.
