Would you rather have a non-stressed 1 day a week job for 2 million or a stressed 24/7 job for 8 million? I'll take the 2 million every time. Unless Clark severely overpays for the Chin, then he is staying at CBS.

Some people prefer to be active and not inactive.

I seriously doubt he makes $2m a year from CBS. Prove me wrong.

BigMeatballDave 01-01-2013 09:11 PM

If they are paying him $2m for 5+ months of work, CBS is reeruned.

There is no link that would have the exact amount, it is rumored to be around $1-2 million. He did sign a 7 figure extension a few years ago.

Gruden's ESPN contract is rumored to be around $4 million a year

Who wouldn't want to have a job like that?

Sean Payton just signed the biggest deal for a coach at 7.5 per year and I'd bet anything Clark would have no problem matching that for Cowher or Reid.

That is, if he is to be taken at face value.

One source close to Andy Reid insisted deal w/ Cards not close. Another source said Cards search open and no leading candidate at this time

O's fan you are the one who posted this tweet.

So Schefter has reported it both ways. 95 percent a done deal.

Not even close

Agreed.

Cushy jobs. I figured they were making $500,000-700,000 per.

There really is no reason to come back unless they desire another SB.

well Clark had no problem paying that to Scooter Pioli or 60 million to Castle or 70 million to Tyson Jackson

so I dont see why Clark would have no problem paying an actual real NFL coach

Horton will get a second interview with the Cardinals
Posted by Mike Florio on January 1, 2013, 10:39 PM EST

At a time when a “source” (possibly, agent Bob LaMonte) is expressing “95 percent” certainty to Adam Schefter that Andy Reid will be the next coach of the Cardinals and Arizona P.R. guru Mark Dalton is saying there’s a 99-percent chance that the 95-percent assessment is 100-percent inaccurate, someone not named Andy Reid will be getting a second interview for the job.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton will interview with Arizona brass for a second time on Wednesday, two days after his initial interview for the job.

The source advises that Horton also will interview with the Bills on Wednesday evening, and confirms that Horton interviewed with the Browns on Tuesday in Arizona.

On Monday, the Cardinals fired coach Ken Whisenhunt, G.M. Rod Graves, and the entire offensive coaching staff. The defensive staff remains in place.

The Bad Guy 01-01-2013 09:46 PM

On Sirius tonight they said there's a strong group of Cardinals players beating the drum for Horton.
