While it would have been ideal to take a safety early in the draft, at this point there is not one worth selecting in the 3rd round for the Falcons so they take what many believe as the CB with greatest pro potential out of the Florida CBs. Watkins, like his brother, is a smooth and gifted athlete who has the ability and potential to become a top cover corner. He was the best corner at the Senior Bowl and can immediately contribute as the 3rd corner in Atlanta to help improve a passing defense that gave up 31 passing TDs last season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Colt Lyerla, TE, Oregon

The Jacksonville Jaguars select Marcus Martin, C, USC.

Dion Bailey FS USC

Although they signed Donte they still need a FS to pair with him. Felt like safety was important at this point because there are only bout four real FS then talent drops.
