I may not be remembering it correctly because I was so pissed at him for getting yet another costly stupid penalty when it happened, but I thought they were jawing back and forth. I think it was on the Denver sideline so in retrospect it's a shitty thing to do to physically trap an opposing player in that position with your team surrounding you.

As much as I hate it, the end result was this:

After years of teams like the Pats and the Donks winning, perhaps we need to face that we're doing some thing wrong.

I've already posted the link to the replay that shows you have no idea what you are talking about.

The Emperor has no clothes. It's you who doesn't know what you're talking about, and you're intent on proving that point with said replay.

You think he actually maintained control of that ball. And you seem intent to think other people who apparently got the call right don't know what they are talking about.

Feel free to exit stage left.

It was very obviously not a catch. The ball hit the ground before he could demonstrate control of it.

I've come to that realization a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago. Which is why I don't care when teams like the Patriots win over and over, because they are basically saying "Dont like it? Stop us." And the Chiefs answer is to trade for another backup QB. Nothing more needs to be said.

Yep. Anyone who has 1) watched the replays carefully and 2) still says it's not a catch just doesn't know the 2015 rule book.

Last night I thought it was a catch and the Panthers got jobbed.

Then I watched the replay again today and its clear that, although he kept his hand under it, the nose of the football did touch the ground and he immediately lost control of it. Even though it never touched the ground again, that was enough to rule it in-come-plete.

Same here. I was furious in the moment, but when I thought through it and realized that the nose touch + loss of control = incomplete regardless of whether it touched again, it's pretty clear.

This. It was the correct call.

After the review, I still thought it was a catch until I read your very simple and logical explanation last night.

Like I said, it was biased but not overtly rigged... Carolina shit and fell back in it, time and time and time again

Fumbles, dropped passes, no running lanes for Stewart, vanilla gameplan, Newton looked like a deer in the headlights the entire game... they had their chances and blew them

Bias is rigging. It's the same thing. You can't have one without the other

RobBlake 02-08-2016 02:22 PM

if the penalty in the endzone to finish out the game wasn't some bullshit but not calling OBVIOUS PI in favor of Carolina just makes you think. Doubt it was rigged but calls favored Denver.

Na, they're two different things.

Biased: "Peyton Manning has been in the league a long time and is a stand up guy, so if he thinks a flag should have been thrown, and it was iffy to me, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt."

Rigged: "Any time there's a close call, I'm going to intentionally rule in the Broncos favor to help them win the game."
