I really want the Chiefs to start Foles. I really really do.

He should have shut down Taco Bell, ordered 178 tacos, and ate himself in to a coma.
Would have been more productive. |

I don't think just because some of us aren't jumping immediately on the Foles bandwagon that it means we are afraid. It just isn't as obvious as past QB situations have been here. I was 100% for Gannon starting over Grbac. I was 100% for starting anyone over Matt Cassel. But sitting here at 5-2, with a developing team situation where the defense has great stretches, but is clearly missing core features, and has stretches that make me cry, having an offense that protects the ball is a very good thing. Did I like Foles? Yes. Will I be happy to see him if Smith isn't healthy? Yes, what a luxury. Am I ready to cast Smith out? No. I may change my tune if I get to see Foles more and his risks are demonstrated to be less than anticipated, but I'm not going to be upset either if Smith starts this week and we keep on the current course. That's not being afraid. That is being really happy we have two nice QBs, neither one of whom are likely ever going to be a top 10 talent, so I'm not going to drool over either one of them.

and yes theres a difference in most of the stats, with foles having better stats with very little downside... so again, if Foles has been 'dismal' how would you describe SMith after comparing them side by side and asking "what stats?" and been showed the stats... |
There isn't even ONE person who's judgment I'd trust before Andy Reid.
