:D

Hunt seems to buy into his bullshit...

Great points folks, so I guess we're just ****ed again. Thanks Hunt..

I guess we miss Jack Harry, he could have helped Sam in the chorus of media willing to speak the truth.

You'll always have Keitzman. You know, the reverse and reeruned Jack Harry! :thumb:

Meh, Hunt, Veach, and Read know that this is, "Well maybe next year" Kansas City, if we get bounced from the playoffs they'll just head to vacation knowing that the city will forgive them.

That being said, I think Sutton will be gone after this year. Too little too late, but they're holding that card evidently. Why putting an assistant in the chair at this point, a fresh face, is so tough is beyond me, but it is what it is.

Because we are the gentle, non wave-making Chiefs, and accountability is for other, lesser franchises.

I love that argument regarding the release of guys like Sutton where the Football Moron attempts to convince us that no one would want to come work for the Chiefs if we were to remove him this late in the season.
The whole "bad look"-thing?
Yeah, **** that. First, there isn't a coach in the system, pro or college, that would look at the results of Sutton's tenure and not understand completely why the Chiefs are looking to replace him. Second, this is a business and every one of these coaches know that if you can't produce, you aren't going to be around long.

"NFL". Not for long. These guys understand it.

Maybe a job with the Chiefs is considered awesome, because you have to **** up for years before we fly a banner and ownership caves to the pressure.

So actually coaching for the Chiefs is not only an easy gig (ya don't have to produce), but you aren't going to get fired for not producing either.

In before, "but but but we're 11-3....."

It’s really infuriating to see a douche like Mellinger pander to us. It is that bad Sam. Any fan of this franchise that is 30 or younger has seen 1 playoff win over Brian Hoyer in their time as a fan. That’s their shining moment.

This is why terez was amazing. He’s a Lions fan. He knows what we feel. He understands us.

I understand this is year 1 with Pat, but we could be the number 1 seed. If you are the 1 seed, all of the talk about “rebuilding year” should go out the window. That means it’s time to win NOW.

It’s so frustrating watching this team do the same thing every year. Start fast, fade a bit later and then implode in January. What’s sad is it looks like we are heading that way.

I sincerely hope we crush the Seahawks and at least win one playoff game over a good team with a real QB. I want the best for this franchise so badly like all of you guys. I want to ****ing win in January, but right now it just doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen.

Thats what i wonder too. We typically play ok, or dare I say it, even good sometimes in the first 1-3 quarters.

We REALLY could have used his talent for the Mahomes era. I'm glad that he gets to move up in his profession and not be stuck at the Star, but godDAMN I hate losing good sportswriters. And that new chick is unreadable.

I feel ya' but I'm taking the long view. A playoff loss this year, with Bob-O doing his usual, bang-up job, all but guarantees he will be gone for 2019. And the Chiefs are SO close. Like, "give me a defense ranked 25th"-close, that I can not justify a single playoff win that could potentially be used as grounds for keeping our weakest coaching link around for even one more minute past the 2018 season.
It's for the best.

Line up empty. Use motion and keep the defense off balance. If it's a pass, keep one or two backs in the backfield and play fake. Don't go vanilla. That's not Andy Reid at his best.

So you're not the only one that notices this...All that time and energy AR spends creating mismatches/misdirection disappears when they just need a 1st down to ice the game.

He's done this repeatedly...at this point, you have to think its deliberate...and doesn't really work.

I was at both of them, too. I camped out overnight for playoff tickets in 91 and 93. I had season tickets in 95 and even went to a road game, but that playoff loss that season was the worst guy punch ever. Ever since then it’s just been a long series of gut punches that aren’t quite as bad because I’m numb to it anymore.

Mellinger can go take all those rainbows and unicorns and shove them up his ass.

Losing Hunt is still huge, especially in January.
