Isn't that the entire point of the first weekend?

I've always said in the long run, I want favorites to win... a Cinderella story is only fun until they lose by 25 in the Final Four. I much prefer seeing those 4/5 and 3/6 matchups this weekend than 13 and 14 seeds sprinkled in.

But there weren't even any butt-puckering moments for the favorites, much less upsets of even the weaker top seeds (guess we'll see if Arkansas can survive this whistle-fest).

Sure. I'm not saying it's been great. I'd love to see more drama and upsets just like the next guy. I just can go with "boring" though.

Yeah, one of the easiest 2-seed first weekend losses to pick... almost too easy to the point of second guessing how easy it is.

And for anyone wondering.

This isn't some Cal resurgence. It's simply the status quo. It's a goup of athletic guys outplaying another group of athletic guys who are missing a shit ton of pooint-blank shots and free throws.

The formula has always been, Cal's team needs to be able to outplay the other team to cover up his shortcomings.

You need to go to a better school if you want to win again Rick.
