It was getting sickening, only thing that could of made the slobbering worse is if Mike Patrick and Dook Vitale was calling the game.

Hark the sound of Tar Heel voices
Ringing clear and True
Singing Carolina's praises
Shouting N.C.U.

Hail to the brightest Star of all
Clear its radiance shine
Carolina priceless gem,
Receive all praises thine.

I'm a Tar Heel born I'm a Tar Heel bred
And when I die I'm a Tar Heel dead.
So it's RAH, RAH, Car'lina 'lina
RAH, RAH, Car'lina 'lina
RAH, RAH, Car'lina
RAH! RAH! RAH!

Q: How many UNC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: One - he just holds the bulb and lets the world revolve around him.

Simply Red 03-29-2008 10:12 PM

bout time I have some company. :D We'll see, I'd like to see the matchup. I think we'll see exactly what we both want, a UNC vs. KU mtchup. Will be good, no question.

Friendo 03-29-2008 10:12 PM

back to adult conversation: haven't watched enough of KU this year to get a true feel, but gotta admit they look damn good in the glimpses I've caught. would they try to run with UNC?

Most likely not, can they run? Sure, they can run with UNC all night long. But Self is a defense guy, he will try and take UNC out of the secondary break and bring it to a Half court game..

Kind of like what he did to KU in the 01 tourney...

is that how they've played this year, or has it been a mix, and what has worked best?

Simply Red 03-29-2008 11:29 PM

I don't really know, they both are tough, In a way I'd hate to beat them as well as, lose to them. They're kinda similar. I'm not about talking shit amongst buds and co-chefs' fans. We'll see, Should be fun and really close, most should agree. Good luck Sun. buds. :)

Simply Red 03-29-2008 11:34 PM

[QUOTE=eazyb81;4656539]So it looks like Roy is finally going to come face to face with his old team, and in the Final Four no less.

looks that way, But better not disct. Davidson though, they're used to being, "counted out". UNC has beat them once this yr. First game and it was lucky by four. Good luck.

Never mind that, we won only three yrs. ago. Fugg the grudge. Hell, he grew up in Asheville, it's his home state. Kansas fans wouldn't blame him leaving. He's not from KS. . Besides, really, they have a kick-ass recruiter w/ self. I've never questioned that. If they meet, It'll be a good game.

At this point I am just hoping that they meet. We need to dispatch Davidson First though. On one hand I think that KU will crush Davidson, on the other I'm a little bit worried.

With a user name like R8ers, I wonder what team he might root for?

:hmmm:

POND_OF_RED 03-30-2008 12:21 PM

This Memphis-Texas game is going to be fun to watch. There hasn't been a game all year with better guards on the court. Abrams-Augustin and Rose-Douglas Roberts are the two best guard tandems in the country IMO. Definitely the hardest game for me to pick in the bracket. I got Memphis though just because I think Dozier and Dorsey will be the difference in the paint.

Ultra Peanut 03-30-2008 12:29 PM

Olmec approves of your choice, SEA.

Considering it's RaidersRock, a banned troll, I'd guess whichever gay touch football team works the pivot in D-block.

I could tell it was him by the smell.

eazyb81 03-30-2008 12:49 PM

Rose is nasty.

Bob Dole 03-30-2008 01:00 PM

The Texas midget needs to stop trying layups and kick the ball back out. He's had his last 4 rejected.

ArrowheadHawk 03-30-2008 01:01 PM

Texas picked a bad day to have a poor shooting performance.

Ultra Peanut 03-30-2008 01:04 PM

THAT'S how a midget has to play! Way to show them, Andre!

That Rose block to Dorsey SLAM sequence was glorious.

More like poor transition/bad defense.

ArrowheadHawk 03-30-2008 01:06 PM

Now that last dunk. That was something.

BWillie 03-30-2008 01:16 PM

This is blasphemy, four #1 seeds cannot advance. If Memphis wins that makes 3 of 4 #1 seeds and enough to make me nervous.

Wa-Z 03-30-2008 01:21 PM

Assuming all 1 seeds win...which would be the first Final Four game?

Sooner or later it was going to happen. This looks to be that year. I hope.

UCLA most definatly will get the late game.

ArrowheadHawk 03-30-2008 01:23 PM

If Memphis and KU hold serve next Saturday is going to be awesome.

They didn't get the late game yesterday.

Texas needs to crank up their 3 machine.

kstater 03-30-2008 01:35 PM

That should have counted.

kstater 03-30-2008 01:38 PM

I didn't know banks were open on Sunday.

eazyb81 03-30-2008 01:40 PM

Dorsey, enough with the attitude. Your team is up 14, be happy.

banyon 03-30-2008 01:41 PM

UP, has anyone tried a box and 1 v. us this year? It's been kind of effective.

Ultra Peanut 03-30-2008 01:41 PM

Joey's got a double-double in the bag and, best of all, has committed NO fouls.

eazyb81 03-30-2008 01:47 PM

I could really go for some barbecue nachos while watching this beating.

alnorth 03-30-2008 01:53 PM

Good bye Texas. You had a nice little run, but in this sport, Kansas will represent the Big XII.

ROYC75 03-30-2008 01:53 PM

Memphis is looking better than at anytime this year. All year ong, they have played to the level of the opponet and shooting horrible at the FT line. All year long I was never afraid to play Memphis, but this team playing right now is as good, probally better than anybody I have watched all year.

Somehow, somewhere the light went off and they have played lights out in the last 2 weeks.

If all 4 # 1's make it in, it is going to be a GREAT Tourney to watch.

Sure-Oz 03-30-2008 01:54 PM

Memphis looks damn tough

Roy was conciliatory, sure, but still wrong. For starters, we played like shit last week.

Rick Barnes is terrible.

Ultra Peanut 03-30-2008 02:16 PM

Cody must be angling for a job at ESPN.

Coach 03-30-2008 02:18 PM

Honestly, I would have laughed if someone said that Memphis was going to shot 80% or greater as a team during tournament time.

Whatever they did, it's working. I gotta give credit to Memphis for figuring out their free throw issues.

ArrowheadHawk 03-30-2008 02:18 PM

Well after today if Bill Self leaves, I hope we go and steal Calipari.

eazyb81 03-30-2008 02:20 PM

Where are all the people who said Memphis couldn't get this far because of f'n free throws? It's awfully quiet....

This program is UNLV all over again, without the scandals.

Wow, you've swung from pendulum to pendulum. From "they're overrated and need to join a real conference" to "can I please have their coach" in just one weekend.

Hard to call them overrated if they just beat a very solid Texas team.

They absolutely crushed Texas and Michigan State in 3 days. They never even trailed in today's game, yet KU had to pull out all their tricks to squeak by them.

Memphis is like an NBA team out there.

Yeah, usually how good a team is and how good a coach is are totally unrelated. Anyway, I take your admisssion of wrongness. You are absolved of your prior wrongdoing. :)

banyon 03-30-2008 02:28 PM

Also would like to post this again:

Okay, Texas, enough fouling. Your strategy failed.

Ultra Peanut 03-30-2008 02:33 PM

I'd really like to thank the committee for giving us a chance to show what we can do on the road against a Top 5 team with a Final Four spot on the line.

I'd also really like to thank Rick Barnes for giving us some free throw practice.

CUT SOME GAT-DAMN NETS!!!!!!!!!

Ultra Peanut 03-30-2008 02:38 PM
