$3.59 in WV now....this state's gasoline tax is stupid. Luckily I can drive about 15 minutes either way and save money in MD or VA.

I use to run thru WV everyday... Fuel and gas prices have always been insane there...

Lowest prices I see are Wytheville Va and just across the line in SC around Gaffney

I still don't see a decrease in traffic....

They could charge 10 bucks a gallon and people would still be riding around all night.

I'm of the opinion that the pain threshold is around $3.50/gallon. It looks like we'll see that soon.

3.49 this morning here at 5 am and been the same for like 3 days ... I didn't look at it today but I am sure it's higher with the spike today.

Agreed. Diesel is the real focus for me. It gets up over 4 natiowide, I'm thinking truckers are going to start shutting it down like they did last time, and there will be problems getting supplies moved across the nation.

I'm more shocked at the 2.5 million you dropped on that 1400 sq. ft., 2 BR, 1 BA detached 1 car garage house.

High fuel prices only hurt independent guys, huge trucking companies especially LTL loves high fuel prices because of the surcharges on every shipment....

Oh yeah, they definitely get theirs, but the independents play a big role in all of this. There's a ton of them out there, and if they all decide to shut it down due to prices, it would be bad.

Right now there are far too many trucks and not enough freight.... Independents are a dying breed, been in this business for over 25 years now and the ones who are still in it aren't making much money after they buy the tires and fuel... Alot of them take loads to get back home that hardly even pay the fuel.

Not much profit in Truckload services anyway as compared to LTL where there can be 20 or so small shipments or more in every pup trailer going to 20 different places with a fuel surcharge on every single shipment, the big boys can't lose when the fuel goes up but then again, I think they are trying to squeeze the independents out anyway and have tried for a very long time... they almost have the task accomplished

Sorry if I have offended you. I am just kind of irritated that it was OK to blame one president but not the other.

I do know that the president has very little control over it. The media just pisses me off.

Itys what eventually put small independents like me out of the buisness in the 90's, just couldn't compete with the larger companies and their bulk fuel buying discounts
