JJ Hardy.

The O's are looking to move Machado over to his natural position at SS, which means they'd need someone at 3b.

Matt Carpenter for JJ Hardy looks pretty decent to me. That might even be more than it would actually take.

Hardy's actually a premier defender (as opposed to Cabrera who just pretends to be). He has more power and a better track record. His contact skills are better and he'd be a very nice fit for the 6/7 hole in the lineup.

Give me Hardy or Drew over Cabrera every time.

Some are high on Ryan Jackson, is he ready?

I'd like to get someone to hit leadoff. Not necessarily at SS, but somewhere. Not a huge fan of Jay leading off.


I've seen the rumor of Tulowitzki(sp?) thrown around, but that contract is crazy.

I'm a HUGE fan of Jay, but that may be a good place to upgrade. I think he's a valuable 4th OF\spot starter, but I think Tavares should be the starter there soon.

Does Taveras project in CF?

Jay isn't a bad player, pretty good actually. I just don't think he's a leadoff hitter. Maybe a 7 or 8 guy.

From what I've read, he can play CF, but his +arm makes him bettersuited for RF; and don't get me wrong, Jay is certainly above average in CF.

Jay is great at CF and I realize he hit 300, but I would rather someone else lead off.

Lynn? I'd say a pitcher who can only pitch reliably for half a season is somewhat overrated as well.

I'd like to see Lynn settle in that middle relief role.

I sure as **** don't ever want to see him in the starting rotation again.

Wong is our leadoff hitter for the next 6 years starting 2014 or maybe if he gets hot in spring training, 2013.

Jay hit .300 over a full year. + defender. We are good there. Taveras is a natural RF. Let Beltran play next year or if he falls off the cliff next year like Berkman, 2013 is Taveras's rookie year.
