Probably would have been a good idea to rest Dean Wade during the season and ensure he wasn't hurt for elimination games like this, but I suppose the priority for KSU this year was stopping the streak and they did it.

Congrats to the Anteaters...first tournament win. KState dont care...they won the Big XII title.

Luck evens out eventually.

They got lucky to make the Elite 8 last year with their 1 seed losing to a 16.

They got unlucky this year with 30-win UC Irvine as a 13.

They would have lost with Dean Wade. This was an exact replica of the A&M game. Bonehead shots and careless turnovers by Kstate all game long. Kstate was known for their defense, but they left people open too often as well. Very bad performance by them today. Very bad.

As a KU fan, winning the Title in 2004 and 2005 didn’t make the Bucknell or Bradley losses any easier.
